True, damn the weirdos and psychos to hell

do it ! do it! do it!!!!

well, i agree with all the others, get to know them first, then if you do actually decide to meet up, make sure to go with a group of people. no harm in that. :D

i have a question. alright, i met these guys in a chatroom, but its not like this regular chatroom, its like a community and stuff.

so i went in there and got talking to these 2 twins. and we hit it off like right away, it was scary how much we had in common. same lifestyle, music, family, friend problems. and they live like 8 minutes away from here. i've never really considered meeting someone over the internet because my moms always warned me and said "don't you ever meet someone over the internet, do you want to be kidnapped?" yeah. shes my mom, what can you expect?

so i really don't think these guys are fake. they are so incredibly nice and sweet. i haven't seen a picture of them yet so i don't really know what they look like, but they seem really nice. and i was actually thinking about calling them or meeting them. because i met a couple people that apparenlty go to the same school as them but i don't know if they know them.

my friends are telling me to be careful and stuff, but any thoughts on what i should do?

Meet them with a friend ... and if you feel OK with them let you're friend go. If u go by yourself meet in a public place, comon sense really...

-get to know them

-ask for a photo

-go in a group if you do meet them

-don't go straight to where you said you would meet them, spy on the place for a bit and see if the people in the photo turn up

-if they do, you've got yourself a friend

-if not, you were talking to Gary Glitter II

Well I've met people of the internet quite a few times and have had bad and good experiences...for example...one of the times i met a bloke who was alot older than me and to be honest it wasnt a good experience, i went back to his flat and stuff NEVER GO TO THEIR HOMES AND MEET IN A PUBLIC PLACE like a cinema or something. However, I met my fiance on the internet too and im about to move in with him so good things can come out of it, you just have to let someone know...it doesnt have to be your mum, i told my cousin and best friend, when i went to meet my fiance and it worked out okay, but if anything were to happen at least someone knew.

Its not a bad idea, but be careful, meet in a public place and tell someone. It might be a good idea to get a picture of them, maybe talk to them on the phone first, and if they have a webcam ask to see them on that...its never 100% but at least you have some idea.

Good luck i hope everything goes okay.

Didn't u heard that news about that cannibal german who wrote on a chatroom WHO WANTS TO BE EATEN or something like that... there was a guy who accepted to meet him to be "eaten" and he really did it!!!

I'm not lying, it's a true story, I saw it on BBC!!

hoho

Yeah,I heard about it,too. :o

Actually,I've met lots of people of the internet. And they were mostly shit. Not all of them though. It's better to stay as friends on the net.Because things generally don't go the same when you meet for real.I don't wanna disappoint you but it's the reality.Internet is just a fake world.Any one isn't totally the same for real.

And also I agree with Dave. You're too young to do it.Think twice before you decide. :)

yeah he started by frying his dick

Eew! :o

wasn't much of a meal according to the tabloids

Eew,you'll make me vomit,Ian.

I met my boyfriend in a chat room :D We talked on msn for 4 days before we decided to meet up, and I was a little apprehensive about it so he came to my house and met my mom first. Anyways we've been together for a year and a half so he obviously didn't turn out to be a madman :P I say go for it but make sure you're not alone the first time..and good luck Amanda!

tough one..

I've met a few people from the online world in real life.. and I guess I've been lucky... that all were just as cool if not cooler in person... but its a crazy world out there.. you never can be too careful.. like a few of the boardies have said.. think long and hard about it. be safe, and samrt about it.. and if all possible.. go with friends.. and in a public place...

if you have any doubts.. then its better that you dont meet.

talk on msn, get a picture, maybe talk on the phone and meet in public

some people are normal...I met my past boyfriend on the net and he was normal,

but I know there can be some psychos out there

yeah but i would never go alone. they're twins and i have a twin, so if we ever meet it would be together. and yeah my friends would definatly know about it. i'm going to chat with them and if that goes well and i can get a picture of them then maybe we'll call and stuff...

and thanks for all the luck :D

:)

I met my fiance in a chat room. We´re together for almost 3 years and things are going really great. I have great friends that I met online. It´s fun :)

But like Sammie said, if you´re going to meet someone, go to a public place like shopping centers.

i also met my boyfriend(it will make 2 years in march) and some of my best friends thanks to internet, i remember the 1st time, oh my god i was so anxious... but it was really fantastic and if i had to make it again i would :)
