StepOut
Does anyone know what kind of strings and gauge Chris and Johnny use?
Kapone
jonny uses ernie ball regular slinky's and chris uses those for his electrics and martin custom sp mediums for his acoustics. i only know that because it was on an equipment list from an old website

Skinned Alive
I mean this in the nicest possible way, but I think people buying strings based on which ones their favourite band uses is fucking ludicrous. My advice is always go for the ones you feel most comfortable with - the same goes when buying any guitar equipment. Pretty much all my favourite guitarists use Ernie Ball Slinkies. In my experience, they're shit. I use Rotosound .11's. They're cheaper, last longer, sound better and you get a second top E string for free. StepOut
thanks a lot Kapone. As for the comments left by "Skinned Alive", just because I want to know what brand of strings Johnny uses, it doesn't mean that I'm gonna run out and buy that brand. Eagle131
Bleh, Them Slinkies suck. I agree with Skinned Alive. I myself use D'Addario XL .11's and .13's (for blues and jazz I use the .13's). I also use GHS Boomers .9's.
