question about Coldplay on Garden State

Featured Replies

But' date=' i know this is not about Coldplay...but what is the movie about???[/quote']

It's about finding who you are and what your living for... Can't really explain it otherwise, definitely go and see it though!!!

I should see it, but where do they sell or rent it at in America? :o

Not moaning' date=' and sorry if this has been mentioned before but I thought Coldplay said they'd never lend their music to film soundtracks?? What happened?[/quote']

they said they would not lend their music to adverts

there's a difference

i remember a while ago i seen a trailer to a movie,i think it was like an updated version of peter pan or some crap, and they played "clocks"through the whole trailer

In Australia for about two months this year Don't Panic was played on the main add for one TV station and the add went for about 40 seconds and was on every single add break.

Man that ad was on for over a year lol. It was 10's main promo for all of last year, but they continued to use it for the first couple of months this year. I loved that ad.

you gotta love any movie that opens with a coldplay song.

I loved Garden State. Excellent writing by Zach Braff.

I also love scrubs too! :-D

In Argentina an Internet service company (or whatever they are called) used to play the 'riff' of In my Place in their commercials since the song came out until some months ago(on the radio and tv, and it was all the time!!!) . I don't think coldplay knows that! I remember i didn't like the song because it was played there............................well, i even had to listen to it when i got up at 6:30 in the morning!!!!!!!GRRRR! They really made me hate it! :P But a couple of months later i fell in love with it ;)

BUMP!

COLDPLAY OFFERED UP FREE SONG FOR BRAFF'S MOVIE SOUNDTRACK

Rockers COLDPLAY waived their usual fee to feature on the soundtrack of ZACH BRAFF's 2004 movie GARDEN STATE because they loved the film so much.

Braff has been friends with frontman Chris Martin for years, and he was delighted when the band offered their song Don't Panic as part of the movie's score.

He tells London's Time Out magazine, "Chris Martin and the guys in Coldplay put their song on my soundtrack.

"Garden State was, you know, this little movie, and they just said yes because they liked the movie and not for, at the time, any dough (money), because we couldn't offer them any."

I love this movie and soundtrack so much! And thanks, but it's weird that this is news now.

I haven't seen the movie, but I like Zach Braff and I like to think that it won a Grammy because of Don't Panic. :D
