Nah, Madison Square Garden is SO yesterday...Sorry, I know it's a nice venue but a lot of artists have already filmed on MSG...

Of course my vote would go to Mexico, but probably a smaller venue, like the Teatro Diana in Guadalajara. I went to a Placebo gig there last april and the place is cozy, warm and really modern!

If that won't do on account of size, then Mexico City would b alright...The National Auditorium, perhaps?

And of course, that place in Italy looks gorgeous!

B.

i think that the sport palace will be the best option not only because of how big it is, but is a warm place, but for example:

Rage against the machine filmed their DVD in the sport palace

&

U2 filmed on autodromo hermanos rodriguez

my vote will be the autodromo

:D

Mexico would be one of the best options' date=' Travis, Rage Against the Machine, The Strokes and even Coldplay said that MExico is one of the best places to play[/quote']

Travis went to Mexico!? Whennn? Why nobody comes here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Are we too southy???!

yeah, they came in february of 2004, they played their longest set ever, they told me that and i've check out and they didn't tell lies

:D

The thing with the Sports palace is:

a) The acoustics are crap!

b) It is in URGENT need of remodelling and/or maintenance.

The Autodromo is ok, but I think it is SO big that you lose the intimate feeling that, in my opinion, is essential to ANY Coldplay gig. Trust me, I went to see U2 back in '97 when they played in the Autodrome, and it just pisses you off because only the rich people (sometimes they're not even fans!) get to actually see the stage! On the back you can only see stick figures and a faint glimpse of the band...

:wink3: how about in Toronto @ the ACC...oh who am i kiddin :snore: it'd be way awesome tho

My bedroom!!

hhaha

Hahahaha my bedroom, hahaha! Im going to have to also be biased and say Earl's Court, London!!! :D

i just saw an interview were chris say that mexico "is a really cool place, with a really cool vibe and we are coming there and hopefully we are going to make our DVD there because mexico concert is the best concert we have ever had"

I think they might or should use an outdoor venue cause the last one was indoors...just what i think though, should be from (off the top of my head) june 28th crystal palace 2005. I know i was raining and thunder and lightning and shit, but it was the best time ever. Great time :D

Between indoors and outdoors, I would have to say outdoors. With the night sky and stars, it should be lovely.

Mexican guys!! we have some luck for this!!

it's in spanish, but I'll translate it for you, the about-to-be-jealous english-speaking fans ;):

With their third album, X&Y, Coldplay is still on top of popularity lists, their fresh musical style is rewarded with thousands of fans all around the world.

For the latest album the band members were more present on the creation-process: “Now we feel more free, we have the chance to try anything, we were under a lot of pressure doing X&Y, but I (and the other guys) think it was worth it." Worldwide recognizement and fame make them think: "For us it's like a different world in which we wanted to get in, but when you do it you realize there are some things that you wish they weren't so wonderful and some others which are a lot better." About the album title, X&Y, not everyone understands what does it mean:"It's the answer to some question for which you don't have an answer, it means a lot of things, it's anything that you want it to be." Inside Coldplay's future projects is coming to play to Mexico, as a part of their "Twisted Logic World Tour, where they will shoot a live DVD. "The Mexican Crowd is the best of the world, we will play there a lot of times and put it on a DVD, because the last time we played there we had an amazing response from the people."

The band collaborated with 2 tracks for the "Help: A Day in the Life" album, which sales will be destinated to child victims of war. “We feel very proud for the song we put there, we thought about how we see the world... we're really proud, it will be a great album."

In a few words, MEXICO IS SELECTED FOR THE NEXT DVD!!!! WOOOHOOO!!!

...now wait 'til they announce the mexican dates...

Outdoor seems more... I dunno. Of course, the only concert I went to was outdoor so...

Hmmm.

My bedroom!!

dammit.

I was going to say that. :(

Well, they had indoor for 2003, right?

portugal:P but they didnt filmed:S it was a great gig

Did they not say that verona was the most amazing place they played? venue wise.

I'm hoping for earls court but i think it might be crystal palace.......

indoor, in a nice arena. KöPi-arena oberhausen for example... *g*

The best location for their DVD would be my bedroom...

We can make an extra special DVD..;) :wink3:

I would have loved if they had shot in Paris Bercy ... 17.000 people. Great place !

294_Info_1.jpg

I missed that gig by ONE DAY!!!

That was on my birthday....9th june..:(

I wish Id bought tickets off ebay to go to the Paris Bercy concert in November, I was there for a college art trip at the same time...in the evenings we went to a very cool bar but the drinks were like £6 each .... RIPOFF! I woulda much preferred to spend my dosh on CP naturally.

Yeah...

I'll pay anything [within reason] if I couldn't get tix in the normal way.

Gotta have my Coldplay fix...

Tickets for Paris Bercy on ebay were not official ones and they were sold for 250€ ( = £160 ( or close ) ) and I saw people who were selling fake tickets in front of Bercy ... but I think it's like this everywhere !

Where was the bar you went to :) ?

It was an Irish kinda bar called O'Reillys....probably the reason all my college friends went there cos they spoke English lol! and it was very very near to where we were staying...I was staying near the metro st "Grandes Boulevards"...the bar was near there.
