Dejan
They could release an acoustic live album and dvd and sell millions of it in just a few months but it looks like they're scared about their releases. There's something wrong in their management i guess....

victaniac
It's not that they're scared. It's because they don't want to feel like they're milking the fans. People have asked Debs numerous times why they don't release an album with the entire bsides (I would buy it in a quickness) and she always says the same thing - Why release something most fans already have bought (bsides) or can get for free (acoustics)? It makes sense. And I like that. Take my other favorite singer Damien Rice, for example. He hasn't released a 2nd album yet, but has a compilation of practically EVERYTHING he has ever recorded. B-side albums (with just one cd out!!), re-releases, singles that aren't even found in the 1st [and only] album. Soon he'll have a greatest hits with just one LP out! I still love Damien, but I'm just so glad Coldplay doesn't take that route.

victaniac
 You don't understand? But are you reading the statements above? Coldplay has never been a band to rush things, anyway. Understand that X&Y is just released and they've just started touring. They're obviously busy right now. They're not machines that can do everything at the same time. Plus, AROBTTH was released in 2002 and the DVD in 2003. This following DVD will mos probably come next year. Take it slow, Dejan. "Such a rush to get nowhere at all".. ;)

Give them time ;) Well.....they could release a live album of the firts leg without a problem but i can't understand why they don't want it. Because releasing such a thing now would be pointless! They've already recorded a lot of footage on this tour and will be putting together the best DVD they can possibly offer the fans. These things don't happen overnight. With a little patience, we will eventually be able to buy something packed with detail - rather than a quick release which would no doubt be labelled as ' a scam'. Honestly, they would get more complaints if they did the latter.
GazeboflossUK
Well.....they could release a live album of the firts leg without a problem but i can't understand why they don't want it. I don't understand some peoples thinking/expectations sometimes  ....it's like they haven't been paying attention to how any past CD's and DVD's have been realesed. :dozey: Do you really think that Coldplay want to release a DVD when they have just built up to their most hyped album release, plus it's probably the most hyped album release in the past 8 years or so. (Overall across the world). They will complete a huge tour before enough backstage/tour bus etc..footage has been shot to make up a large amount of extra material that will make a DVD release even better. Making a good DVD takes alot of time and if you wan't the filming right, then it's expensive too and you don't want to organise a DVD shoot when they have just really began to get most of the songs played and sounding better - they will wan't to be sure on their set list. The band will want to be on top form before they consider having themselves recorded for their own DVD. A longer wait for a DVD just seems natural or is it just me?? twin4life
i think it's better to spread releases out. say even if the dvd doesn't come out for another year, it's something to hold us over until the next album comes out (thinking way into the future here....) and yeah, a dvd right now would take away from X&Y! i want to read those 3 books that are in the works :P

SuchARushOfBlood
I don't see the point of releasing another tour DVD so soon. There's not that much turnover in live material that it's a dramatically different product than the Live 2003 disc.

Crystal Palace for example.
timeo
If they had time, I'd love to hear/see an unplugged version of their stuff. Kinda like MTV unplugged or what not, since pretty much all the MTV Unplugged albums are amazing....it'd be great to hear their songs drastically toned down from the originals. But yeah, if they had time.
Dejan
I'd like to see a coldplay dvd of the same quality and level of "U2 - Elevation 2001 - Live In Boston " With the full concert on the first disc, the second one contains a wealth of superb extras. For starters there's the "Another Perspective", which enables you to watch the concert from alternative points of view--the "Fancam" (from the heart of the crowd ensconced within the heart-shaped walkway) and the "Directorcam" (from the production office where director Hamish Hamilton creates his masterpiece). There's also a Road Movie, which gives a time-lapse photography look behind the scenes of a day on the road, and an insight into how to turn an empty, cold impersonal indoor arena into an intimate, spectacular concert venue. It also includes some alternative live takes of some of the key tracks from the album, including a fantastic performance of "Beautiful Day" from the rooftops of Dublin. With the concert offered in a choice of sound ratios (Dolby 5.1, PCM Stereo) the songs sound even greater.

GazeboflossUK
Er, because we've seen cameras at various gigs. Crystal Palace for example. Well they had to be there so that they could show the gig on the big screens. Large venues have to have that because people at the back wont be able to see anything.
