July 22, 200520 yr God,I wanna move to Mars. From Yahoo By Jonathan Wright 17 minutes ago CAIRO (Reuters) - Twenty people died and about 100 were wounded when four car bombs rocked the Egyptian Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh and hotels at nearby Naama Bay on Saturday, officials said. ADVERTISEMENT A police source said four car bombs appeared to have exploded -- one near the Sharm el-Sheikh bazaar, and three in Naama Bay, at a tourist bazaar, the Ghazala Hotel and the Moevenpick Hotel. An emergency services official in Sharm el-Sheikh, contacted by telephone, said the explosions killed 20 people and wounded about 100 others. The blasts caused pandemonium as people rushed to go home for fear of more bombs, said one resident who asked not to be named. Residents said the blasts blew out windows in apartment blocks. The first explosion, shortly after 1 a.m., was audible more than one km (half a mile) away, one resident said. It started a fire and smoke billowed over the town. About 15 minutes later, at least two explosions were audible from the direction of Naama Bay, about six km (four miles) away, he said. Naama Bay has dozens of luxury hotels popular with divers and holidaymakers from Europe. Although the explosions took place after 1 a.m., the bazaars would have been busy with holidaymakers at this time of year because the daytime is so hot, residents said. Ahmed Fawzi, an Egyptian lawyer visiting Naama Bay on business, told Reuters that one of the explosions ripped the door of his office off its hinges. A resident living 10 km (6 miles) from Sharm el-Sheikh told Reuters two explosions had shaken the windows of his house. President Hosni Mubarak has a holiday villa in the Golf Hotel, close to the Moevenpick. Three tourists were killed and others wounded in two bombings in the Egyptian capital Cairo in April. In October, 34 people were killed by car and truck bombs at resorts popular with Israelis, mostly at the Taba Hilton on the Israeli border. Those attacks were further north, on the eastern coast of the Sinai Peninsula.
