The hardest part?

Featured Replies

I wanted to add that the HArdest part makes me feel so good... that I want to play the bass...

(I'm a pianist... and I've never played the bass of my life.... so;.. you can imagine how it would sound hi hi hi hi hi hi )

it's a great song

beautiful :)

i've always enjoyed this song. people keep ragging on it's cheesey sound, but i think it's fantastic.

I like the part how he goes, "you really broke my heeeaarrrrttt"

I like the part how he goes' date=' "you really broke my heeeaarrrrttt"[/quote']

so do I...

I was listening to the whole album and suddenly I stopped at The hardest part. It made me feel things I had never felt before. That means to me that it is a perfect song. I programmed the player to repeat only that track and I'm sure I have listened to it more than two thousand times! It could seem excessive but every time it starts it's like the first one. :)

Next single anyone? i mean wouldnt it sound COMPLETELY different than everything they have evr realeased??

all of us hardest part fans should get together to make this song everyone's favorite song. in my opinion one of the top five. can anyone top Jonny's guitar playing on this one???????

I like it, but it's in the lower echelon of my favorite songs on the CD. I think the next single should be A Message or Talk.

good, good...but dont you think that A message would bring a lot of controversy, sort of like Beatles-yoko thing?

talk is definitely one strong contender! :idea2:

for some reason i skip over A Message

and i loved The Hardest Part relatively from the start i like the way the vocals have kind of are in the lead and then the music kicks in later like its following ( am i making any sense

im listening to A Message more often to let it sink in

3 years on, I've decided to join The Hardest Part Appreciation Society.

^WOW

Why bring this thread back now?

(I do love Hardest Part as well tho)

why would you dig this up?

but yeah I also love that piano solo at the end:)

Why not. Music is timeless.

A great song - typical lovely melody from the lads.

I was gutted that despite catching four of their shows on that tour they didn't play it once...really hope all the songs on the new album will be better supported than those on the last.

I thought that as some people don't like the new material as they think it's "un-Coldplay", I'd celebrate another song that some people thought was cheesey, cliche and "un-Coldplay". Loads of lovely flams from Will, a hell of a good bassline from Guy, some amazing guitar work by Jonny and amazing piano and singing from Chris. What a tune.
