What the winds bring they bring

My heart is still hard, cold, frozen

I tumble and fall

People rush by me

Stampeding

Trampling

Kicking

Laughing

Cursing

Spitting

Crying

I lie there

It seems fitting for the moment

The sky a pretty grey

Rain falls

Freezing as it hits

With every blink of my eye

Life seems to get taken down a notch

A child stops over me and lets a pink rose glide out of her tiny, beautiful hands

Smiles as the rose gently rests on my breasts

Her mother concerned about the looks of the others pulls the child along

My blinking is longer

Life gets slower

Slower almost stopping

I feel my hair fall nicely along my face and the raindrops pet it with sincere pity

The clouds part for just a moment

My eyes close

Never to open again

here's another...

Standing at the edge

Pondering

Should I

Should I jump

I turn around to look at what I’d leave behind

Nothing

As I thought

Nothing

Nothing except pain and neglect

I hear voices

I hear the same voices I’ve heard all through my life

The ones that have hammered their way into my deepest thoughts

Leaving their piercing laughter as souvenirs

I see faces dancing through the mist

Faces wearing smirks

Like they always have

I hate those faces

But they too have stolen my vision

I can’t see the roses in the garden

I can’t see the stars at night

I see them

And only them

I don’t close my eyes anymore

Nothing good happens when I do that

My dreams are horrid

My heart aches

My soul lost

My burden heavier

My mind even more confused

Standing at the edge

I look over

The sprays of waves greet my lips

Reminds of what life used to be

I jump

Not into the empty ocean

But into something new

Into a heavenly abyss

there was agirl from syracuse who couldn't tie her shoes :?

AHAHAHA...umm

there was a cat

that was sitting on a mat

and then a kid ran in the room and hit it with a cricket bat

and the cat's puggy stomach went splat

and then out of its stomach flew out a rat

the kids mum walked in and saaw the mess and started to rant

then yanked the kid up by the leg of his pant

took of her straw hat

and then spanked him while yelling.."you're bad..a bad boy indeed you are Pat!!!!!!!""

:o  :D :D

LOL :D

oh that was an award winning poem and u ppl know it...

Dania= Elissa right??

and today i am inspired to write a poem about my first love - badgers

a badger

is a curious thing

it growls and snuffles and scrabbles for things

they look like you could cuddle them but

oh no!

if you do they may try to bite your big toe!

so let this be a lesson to all that have learnt

a badger is not an animal to pet or to hurt

you should respect them and love them from afar just like me

with cream buns and croissants and skittles for tea

yay! im great i am :D

*bump* because i am so damn impressed with myself :D

In your arms, rocking I am

quietly.

In my arms, rocking you are

quietly.

In your arms I am a child,

listening.

In my arms you're a child,

I'm listening

With your arms you hold me tight

when I am scared.

With my arms I hold you tight

and I'm not scared.

In your arms, even the

silence of death won't

frighten me.

In your arms I'll fall

through death like

a dream.

nice poem

but it has no badgers in it

I like this thread :D good idea

We had a poetry essay in school yesterday and I really liked one of the poems we were given to compare with another...

Take your own meaning from it :-) i think it is about a relationship being over and the poet wants to part from his lover on an optimistic note..

The Parting

Since there's no help, come let us kiss and part--

Nay, I have done, you get no more of me;

And I am glad, yea, glad with all my heart,

That thus so cleanly I myself can free.

Shake hands for ever, cancel all our vows,

And when we meet at any time again,

Be it not seen in either of our brows

That we one jot of former love retain.

Now at the last gasp of Love's latest breath,

When, his pulse failing, Passion speechless lies,

When Faith is kneeling by his bed of death,

And innocence is closing up his eyes,

--Now if thou wouldst, when all have given him over,

From death to life thou might'st him yet recover.
