I'm pretty sure it doesn't exist!! :D

Die Fantastischen Vier perhaps?? But that's only because they have an "American" sound!! :D

You're pretty funny mc_squared :P

But we're here to talk about german music. If you don't like, don't post xD ;)

Oh my gosh, get away from meee!

Why? He's a classic example of German music!! :P

Look at the number of people who buy THAT rubbish!!

No, thats definitely NOT a classic example of german music.

Please listen to some good bands, not that old "Volksmusik" out there ..

I think you don't listened to any of this bands, I've postet on this thread.

In germany, nobody's talking about Wolfgang Petry anymore ..

That are the typical prejudices about germans and their sense of good music.

Yeah! Like the english and their not exisiting cooking-skills! (err, wait, was this a prejudice or a fact? I forgot ;-) )

Music's way more important than cooking - and on that count, the score is Britain 10 - Germany 0!! :P

And anyway, isn't somebody called Jamie Oliver popular in Germany?? Which nationality is he, I wonder?? :D

About Jamie Oliver: In Germany we say "Ausnahmen bestätigen die Regel" - too lazy, to translate that ;-)

Ah come on mc there are many talented GERMAN musicians out there....

Well Soulounge are good - but THEY sing in English, too!! :D

You underestimate german music skill.

And you forgot that fact, that english is the worlds first language .. so, you got more international chances. I mean, a lot of german bands don't give a fuck 'bout singing in english. That's why you people never heard of them ;)

I mean, there are a lot of british bands with no good music, too ;)

What? You don't know Rammstein, Julia? Oo

And the translation of winnie's postet german adage:

"Exeptions prove the norm" (that's correct, I think ..)

Rammstein are bigger than alot of English bands..

They'll never be as big as the likes of Coldplay, Oasis and Robbie Williams - you can forget it!! :D

Have you seen they're live shows man? IMO they're already bigger than Coldplay...

We talk about good music and music skills .. not how popular they are. It's good to see, that for example Rammstein are very popular in the USA, but there are other german bands, you don't know (or don't want to know), which don't sing in english. And they have at least the same skill like a lot of english singing (britain ..) bands...

That might be the case, but they have one very big disadvantage - they sing in German!! :P

*Says who?? Coldplay's music appeals to people across the board, while Rammstein only appeals to a certain type of fan.

You can't compare the two.
