Goodbye, Julia!

Oh boy, I just made a sandwich with chese, sausage and one of these Chipotles and - whoa! - I didn't think, these bastards could be so hot!

My tongue is burning like hell... but it was tasty! :-)

Goodbye, Julia!

those Chipotles looked mean...did you eat the entire chipotle?

Yeah... I sliced it and put it into the cheese. Phew... I wanted to add some Hot-Chili-Sauce to the sandwich, but I think, that would have been a overkill ;-)

I'm glad, I didn't do it :-)

^ ;-)

Oh I don't like to eat peppers directly. I would just extract the juice and get as little as possible because it will be soo hot. I'm glad you didn't add chili sauce.

Haha, well you can consider me a "chilihead" ;-) I put in almost everything I get to eat hotsauce, sliced chilis or whatever I can find - hot food makes me kinda happy, don't know why though... maybe it's the pain, lol ;-)

You aren't eating that over there, am I right? The thais go crazy with chilis and stuff in there food ;-)

Really, I never thought of you as a chili-person type :P :) But it's cool, sometimes I also like chili when used as condiment...

Well can you eat chili on its own? There is a province in the Philippines where they organize contests to see who can eat the most number of raw chilis. Maybe you can join one!

Nah, I'm not eating, but talking about this makes me hungry... :D

Well... it depends, on what chilis you're talking about ;-) I can eat these mexican jalapeno-chilis, but everything above that isn't possible anymore :-) And regarding this contest - lol, I think, I won't get alive outta that ;-)

Theye're selling the hottest curry-sausage in the world somewhere in central germany. It's said, some guys got k.o. because of that sausage! Crazy :-)

What I actually meant was, if typical filipino food is hot? Or even better: What's the typical filipino food? That's interesting me right now :-)

Whoa! That curry-sausage is dangerous :D

Hmm, that's quite hard, because our food is a combination of many influences...

Ok, there are Spanish-influenced dishes like paella, kare-kare, adobo...

well these are not spicy or hot, like adobo, the pork is flavored by soy sauce and vinegar; in kare-kare, it is flavored by peanut-sauce, so it's a bit sweet. Paella is made up of rice topped with chicken, seafoods and vegetables

There are also indigenous dishes like sinigang, which is made up of tamarind broth and usually the meat added are shrimps, pork, beef or fish.

The only spicy food i know of is Bicol Express. They use chili called Labuyo, i don't know the english name but they said it is one of the hottest chili around...

Ouh, that combination between spanish and asian food sounds pretty interesting!

I never heard of a filipino restaurant in our town... maybe I gonna look for one when I'm planning to go out for dinner :-) I'm kinda gourmet, hehe ;-)

yeah, maybe you can find one there...i suggest you try kare-kare, it's my favorite. if you like spicy foods you can try Indonesian or Vietnamese or Thai dishes. They are more spicy than us! :)

^ sori just a quick hello from me to all

OMG vietnamese food your making me hungry*scuttles off to kitchen*

Well in fact, that would make you a "chili-fishhead"!! :P

Yeah - I heard, that thai food is very hot!

If you choose something labeled "hot" on the menu then it's really (!) hot. In these chinese restaurants which exist at every corner around here the hot-labeled dishes are maybe hot for the general german guy but not for me :-)

I always have to say "Extra-hot, please" to get what I want =)

Yeah, I went into a Thai Restaurant once and they have separate menus for hot, extra hot and ultra mega spicy hot dishes. lol.

Try that to see if you're that chilihead as you think. ;)

Yeah, me too. I was here a couple of hours ago...the thread was completely deserted

Well,it's becaue I'm not often here at this time....so I don't know many people who are online at this time...

^Yes - Julia's normally still in bed at this time after getting trashed at a party the night before!! :P
