^hahaha! Thats the song im most excited about seeing them do live :D ........it's amazing....and yes, Will's drumming in that song is incredible!!! :)

he is a great drummer but i think for the music to get better he needs to use many different beats throughout a song not just the same thing repeating.

uhm... hasn't he been chaning his beats in X&Y?

I mean... listen to In My Place, or God Put a Smile Upon Your Face (they're great, but they get boring... [exact same thing over and over...], then listen to Low and Square One.

Much better drumming. :D

It's boring! :P Bang bang bang bang bang bang... Crash crash crash crash crash...

Well, if you don't look at it from a drummer's point of view, it's pretty cool. :D

he's amazing:

I was just watchin the SNL performance of Speed Of Sound and i like how when wills singing he'll hit one of the crash things(i dont know what they are called)without even looking.I think thats pretty cool.Ive seen hes doing that a lot now.

This is my list:

Shiver [Yep, the beautiful crashes]

One I Love [climax/solo]

Square One [intro]

Daylight [i love the open high hat when Chris sings "s" sounds, so well thought out]

Clocks [Guy and Will work so well in this song]

Spies/White Shadows [floor tom]

In My Place [awesome intro]

X&Y [awesome rolls]

Low [definitely.. the first time I heard that percussion bit, I thought I had changed the CD and totally forgotten]

The Hardest Part [intro, nice start]

I like the beat from Speed of Sound.

Me too - sounds very similar to Kate Bush's 'Running up that Hill' (fantastic song), but not so similar that it ruins it.

umm....it's hard to choose...just because he's soooo awesome!!! :D

I really like the drum beats in Twisted Logic...

and also in In My Place...

hmm...yeah it's a little difficult...he's such an amazing drummer! :D

so many great drum beats, some people complain that he not that great a drummer, or hes not technical, but even though they are simple they are very good.

so many great drum beats' date=' some people complain that he not that great a drummer, or hes not technical, but even though they are simple they are very good.[/quote']

This is true. Coldplay is not the most technical band out there, but their music is just incredible.

I'd have to say In My Place, Talk, and Poor Me :D

Will's talent with the drums is pretty remarkable considering he's only been playing for about 6 or 7 years now.

In My Place - Pretty simple, but still cool

God Put A Smile Upon Your Face - Just the coolest ever. It 's fun to watch him practically attack his kit in live performances during this song

Clocks - Why hasn't anyone said this? All the cymbals (Especially at the end) are amazing

Daylight - Hi-Hats. Mmm hmm.

Amsterdam - Dramatic

SPIES - Probably my favorite. It's awesome.

Shiver - Very cool

For You - What'd he do to to his toms to make that cool sound with them?

I Ran Away - Yay solos!

Square One - I think this maybe his best. It's just so effing cool and completly makes the song.

White Shadows - I like bass drums/floor toms

Fix You - Probably my favorite and the most important drum parts EVER. That is what lifts that song to the hieghts it goes to. Amazing.

Talk - It's just really cool. It's like he's doing a jig on his hi-hats

X&Y - Bass drums/floor toms!

Speed of Sound - Another one of my favorites and another song where the drums make the song.

Low - Crazy man

I wouldn't say it's too remarkable... 7 years is a lot of time also. But he was only playing for a year when he joined Coldplay, right? 0_o

...and I don't think he's using toms--it sounds like a snare with the snares latched off.

Alyssa is right, plus some reverb effect I think. Sounds great though

Just what i remember right now...

- Square One

- Fix You

- Speed of Sound (Solo)

- In My Place (Intro)

- Clocks

- Daylight

- Shiver is pretty good

- .....all I can think of.... :D

I think "In My Place" is absolutely amazing!!! I try so hard to replicate on my kness and with my hands if you get my drift and it's so hard! Keeping the right hand going and getting the left beat and the foot correct. That sends a shiver down my spine when I hear Will's In My Place intro :D

Spies got so cool drumbeats... love it ;)

and cant get you out of my head cover.. just great!!

I forgot in my place, sorry
