hm.. I dont' really trust most of those meanings, since they're just sent in from random people who think they know stuff. for the record, they still sing "Green Eyes" live.. And The Scientist is about his brother. Or so I've heard.. I dunno, these are pretty bland meanings...still interesting though :)

in see you soon i can almost feel the troubles chris has had with gwyneth's ways to treat him in front of her friends. i can see them fighting and fighting over and over. and it covers my heart with stones when i hear it - so i dont listen to it no more:confused:

 

or the nappies: it's chris sreaming into my heart too that he has so much troubles with loving his wife cause she's so roller-coasting tempered because of her pregnancy....:embarassed: ("she told me to crawl this way, to bawl this way..." - I can see and hear her through these words commanding chris around!)

 

some more of his songs (lyrics) are too sad to me so i cannot hear them anymore cause they make me too sad.

I've never really thought much of any 'problems' they might be having. Thinking about it more would just be too depressing.

 

Sometimes when I hear 'Trouble', I get kinda nervous....(I know, it probably sounds kinda stupid) because it's just so powerful. The piano...the lyrics...Chris's voice. All together it's just so heart-wrenching! It's like any second I could just burst into tears. I imagine a man losing everything he has and loves, because if a stupid mistake me made, and now he has to live with the sadness and guilt for the rest of his life.

 

But that is just my interpretation of the lyrics, I'm sure they had a different thought when creating this song.

Yes, there's a lot of the blues in these songs.. But if you look at the bright songs, they're very uplifting! After all, life is for living, and I think it's good to commiserate at times - to have a heart; but to always feel the sunshine after the rain, so to speak..

For me, see you soon, it's just beautiful, it's about a relationship that never went to the next step, "see you lost your trust and you never should have" She (well a man wrote it) is a friend, who likes the guy of the song, but she don't trust in him, she just wants friends, she doesn't want to take the risk of falling in love with someone else, she's locked in herself, she is wearing a bulletproof vest with the windows all closed because she act warily in love. But that's just me.

now that you say that...:thinking: guess you're right and it was written before gwyneth. but i dont think that the bullet proof vest was hers but his: "cause in a bullet proof vest......I'll be doing my best and i'll see you soon". and somehow, despite the fact it was an elder song, on that dvd from 2003 chris is singing this for gwyn - in my eyes....and heart. cause something makes me sure that she has two faces at least. a public "clean" one and another private one. but that is just my opinion.
