Jesus Committed Suicide

Hu-hooo boy contreversy! WOO

Yeah I did simply want a contreversial topic title, for a larf. But there's truth behind it, in my opinion.

Judging from my old studying of the even older bible, Jesus always gave up when those who were persecuting him were about to kill him. He always turned his cheek etc. or said "Father forgives you" when they were asking him to explain how he is the son of God.

I mean can you blame them for not believing him? Imagine in today's society, when a guy claims to be Jesus (Which actually happens often enough, usually while hes dangling off a building on LSD) and when he gets arrested the police actually gave him a chance and asked him what makes him Jesus, and all he'd say is "Father forgives you".

A whole lifetime of travelling through the desert and explaining a million stories to a million people that he felt clarified himself as the son of God, and then when guards catch him, he gives up instantly. The guy wanted to be killed, that there is a sin.

OOoo contreversy.

Really, strange.

So do you believe in God' date='Reilly?[/quote']

I believe in a God, just not the one we are fed to believe on this earth. I think the universe was created by a God, who barely even knew or cared that it happened, as it was a bunch of gas that came from another universe/wormhole. Its an odd mix of science and religion. We have a creator, I'm sure. I dont believe in the God I think you are referring to.

Crystal, yes I know thats the reason but still, he did give up on life. By the way I cant see the little image you posted.

whoa, never saw it from that point of view , cant say i agree though...I'm not even a religious fan or anything like that but i'd like to believe this life isnt the end of everything.

scientifically speaking, I find it very difficult to believe the whole 'Jesus rose from the dead' thing. that's really all I have to say

hahaha yes. Science does slightly contradict this theory

wow...this thread has survived since last night

you are unbelievable Reilly

I know! I thought it'd be deleted by now :smug:

mmmmm

i see your point Reilly...i believe in both, more in science i think, but i also believe in A god, a life forse that brought the world together using science. But some parts of the bible i just dont believe in or even like, sort of just take from it the bits i want :/ :P

I think there is a God,but no one on earth preaching His word is actually realted to him....he's not a prophet waiting to be brought to life again and he doesn't punish people for not obeying what's inside the bible...he just looks from above or any place he's in

Well let me tell you something. I am not one of those very religious people, but I also do believe in God. Today, I went to this church ('cause my mom wanted to go.. She's sick) and there was this person who supposely says that God uses his body to transmit power and heal certain people from cancer and other things. The thing is that..it was so so scary! People were falling down like a rock as soon as he touched them. My mother also got scared and we decided that we were gonna leave. Anyway, as soon as we were leaving he said her name! :o  True story, I'm not lying. I even told my mother as a joke that he was calling her ('cause we kinda didn't hear him clearly the first time). So anyway, it was her he was calling and he gave her his blessings and balbalabla. He turned away from me two times (I guess I'm the devil  ) and this other lady suddenly told me "I know you don't have fate, but this is true".. that kinda got me mad 'cause who the hell was this lady to be telling me about me not having fate in God? stupid lady.. anyway, I now feel bad 'cause the guy didn't give me his blessings (which sounds stupid I know) but it did left me feeling as if I was the devil :(

PS: I never go to church and my mother rarely does..so I don't know how he knew her name...

Maybe he didn't wanted to be killed Reilly, but maybe he knew that it was necessary and that he needed to trick (I guess) humans into doing what it needed to be done.

Jesus was teaching us a lesson!

Self control! (in Spanish :Templanza)

Jesus could do everything he want but he had to do what God tell him to do.Another lesson:Obey!

When I talk of God with another persons, and I talk with their about eternal life in heaven and that kind of stuffs, some of they tell me,that is God would forgive all the sins they commit and they still would go to heaven, why they have to worry about everything. For they is more simple commit suicide than have a right way to live.

So in a few words the people were thinking that committing suicide was better and besides that God would not be angered since he excuses everything!

But if you were committing suicide, not only you would be mistaken, but you would be giving a bad message. You would be giving to the people a message of fear. And God is not a god of fear!

In addition to that if the people see that another people are committing suicide, they would not believe in God

Well...when people say that God is meant to be feared, it is a healthy fear. It's kinda hard to explian, but to fear God is like, you do the right thing or else beware of the consequences. Like with parents, there is a healthy "fear" ...you either obey, or get your punishment. Because you know the house rules. The same with God....you know the things he asks of you ...like biblical laws and the such. And you obey them or get what you deserve... this is all depending on your beliefs and that.

But yeah, he isn't a God of fear in that .."oh...I am afraid he will strike me down at any moment and if I don't obey, everything will go wrong " type of fear. It doesn't go like, overboard..

i knew this thread were created by Reilly. i was so sure!!!

is my 6th feeling!
