serious choice about hell

Featured Replies

ok, this may sound completely random, but it's something i've thought about before and i've never asked anyone else.

If you had to choose A or B which would you choose:

A) when you die you go to heaven for eternity (a perfect place) and everyone else goes to hell (the worst place possible) for eternity... EVERY human who ever existed

B) when you die you go to hell (the worst place possible) for eternity and EVERYONE else who ever existed goes to heaven for eternity (or at least the people you want to go there) and let's assume that even if people went with you to hell you couldn't talk to them... because it's the worst place possible

mathematically the answer is easy. you choose hell and everyone else goes to heaven. it seems more fair. but that would be the ultimate sacrifice.

that is what it is all about..sacrifices

but i don't get the question...

no, it's a or b, no in between. duh.. and let me rephrase the question and tell me if it's easier to understand.

you choose between A or B

A) you go to heaven and everyone else in the world goes to hell

B) you go to hell and everyone else in the world goes to heaven

i know that talking is MUCH easier than doing so i wont answer B... but A is a very unfair choice too, confusing

pretend the devil is asking you this question, if you don't answer he's going to put everyone in hell.

but ur not the devil arent u? :uhoh:

anyway... if thats the case ill go for B, my biggest weakness is knowing that i did something wrong to someone and that is just the ultimate doing wrong to someone situation!

i already bought a place on the moon... so i'm done... :D

Well I reckon if you chose A, it would still turn out to be as bad as hell seeing as you'd be all alone. The novelty would wear off and you'd probably go insane, so all in all, I'd take either one :idea2:

Nice :nice: nooow i get it.

I would be a Jesus and let everyone go to hell before me..I deserve it

It'd suck majorly to go to hell.

But it'd suck majorly to know that you made everyone else go to hell.

I'd have a horrible time either way, because I wouldn't be able to talk to anybody....so....I'm gonna choose Heaven

if you chose A, then thats a bad thing that would probably get you sent to hell anyway.

so who cares, this is stupid anyway.

Good question, I could write a lot about this.

My logic tells me to go for A. In Heaven, where eternal happiness is the point, you couldn't feel guilt.

If in this life I knew that everyone went to hell because of me, I could never live with that. If I went to heaven I wouldn't care, the eternal happiness would be there.

But- what is it that would make you eternally?

Well, either your memory of making such a decision will get erased, or you will live on in the afterlife trying to be pleased by superficial good things.

The entire concept of Heaven and Hell makes no sense. It is a fact that you cannot feel eternal happiness, you would go insane.

You have to work for true happiness, working hard and going through bad times is what makes the good times great.

The only way you can feel eternal 'happiness' is by a fake kind of superficial happy that just occupies your time and makes you bored. This means driving ferrari's and playing X-Box 360 in heaven I'm guessing. Or the more traditional equivilent of getting fed grapes on a cloud-couch by beautiful angels.

One of the many things that do not make sense when it comes to religion.

lol... i think i'll choose going to hell . that means coldplay will go to heaven isn't it?

...and is it possible for them to talk there? or sing?...if so, heaven should be a magnific place

maybe, maybe not. but if we can feel TRUE happiness for a moment why can't we feel it for eternity? if we have knowledge of EVERYTHING and we have EVERYTHING but we KNOW we don't deserve ANYTHING, including existence then i believe we can feel true happiness for eternity.

How?

Having everything is superficial, knowing of everything is a joy that can be experienced for no more then a few hours. It's not as if you still sit around going "Santa isnt real! I'm so happy!". Once you know something, thats the end of it. The power of such knowledge would put to rest any thoughts you could have, that would be severely depressing.

The reason we can feel true happiness for a moment is because it is that special short space of time that feels great and I re-iterate; SPECIAL. You cant feel special all day long for your entire existence, in order to feel great and special you would have to keep coming up with an infinite amount of ways to feel that way.
