I had an obsession with them for several years. Not too long ago either. Part of the reason it took me so long to check out Coldplay in detail was b/c I was too busy with Metallica. I've seen them live 5 times. Front row once. Front corner once, when I touched James! He gave me a quick slap on my outstretched hand. Woo hoo! I bought my first guitar b/c of them.

 

 

Favorite songs: Sanitarium and One. Favorite thing I can play: Kirk's intro solo on Fade to Black.

I can respect that they are fantastic musicians, and they probably DO play their stuff better than most metal musicians.

 

But the 7 minute Guitar solo's always put me off metal.

 

The only metal band I can stand is Slipknot.

so, on missionmetallica.com i heard parts of new music, and it's definitely back to raw metal (or hard rock, whatever, more metal tho).

Sadly I think slipknot are useless and a waste of space.....have fun there marek!

No idea if youre a fan Rick,but setlist is insanely massive and I got second row! Since Metallica is one of my top 5 bands I was extremely lucky,even crying while the mid part of Master :cry:

 

Machine Head and Mnemic supporting acts were great either!

Very true, those type of people are stupid. People always go up to them saying, "But Coldplay is guitar music, not gangsta rap or stuff" and yet they are being the same as them!!

What album should I get guys which you think will make me like Metallica??
