Take into account the amount of time that it takes the child to count the licks.

 

Take into account how much time it takes the child to get to the middle of the tootsie roll just by licking it.

 

And then, and only then, will you realise, that the productivity is screwed.

 

In the amount of time that it takes a child to get to the center of a tootsie roll, another child has eaten 300 of them.
