^I'm glad someone else is feeling it too! (well, obviously im not happy you are sad  , but I was feeling like i'm the only one :/ )

I'm honestly not just saying it and not feeling it either. It's actually making me feel really low. I've been so bouncy since December and now i've come right down, i dont like it at all. :sad2:

well, same here... normally I don't even reply to such threads, because I really have nothing to criticise.

*hugs steph* don't feel sad...

I hate almost everything at the moment, it doesn't matter how random it might be. but that doesn't belong here... I guess there will be better times soon.

I usually stay far away from threads (and even thoughts...) like this as well. But I can totally see where you girls are coming from, Sarah and Steph...

I was about to give a serious reply with my thoughts about this topic, but I've been sitting here for minutes now and I keep deleting what I write.

So this is very hard for me as well, just so you know...

I just wanna meet chris and the band and say something like "hey! don't be down when someone says your music is shit or anything--your music is great, don't let anyone convince you otherwise. :) As long as you put your heart into everyone song you make, no one can put your music down."

i hate stupid critics--they put down music, completely ignoring how much time and thought it takes to make one song...

that goes for any music--i've been put down many times, and I completely hate that feeling... but I did my best, so, fuck off...

now I feel guilty talking shit about any band... it must really bring 'em down.

i mean, if you don't like some music, it's not going to change for you, no matter what you say... so it's kinda useless to say shit about it...

the whole point of music, IMO, is to open your eyes to a different style--to get you to listen...

god, i'm being so hypocritical...

i think it takes a lot of determination to continue making music even though everyone hates it--i've got a new found respect for all types of music now...

I hear you Alyssa.

I always think about what i'd love to say to the guys; something that just sums up how all us fans feel about them and would make them feel great, and inspired to keep going no matter what shit they get from the media. Isn't that sad! :embarrased:

well---alyssa, i kinda disagree with you, but just a bit ;)

i don't think you should feel bad for not liking to the same extend x&y or any other coldplay cd for that matter. there will always be some good stuff and bad stuff, the same aplies to music. but chris and co. have to learn cope with that, and not quit the minute something's not like they've wished for..for fuck sake..there are more awful things happening day by day, and surviving just by doing the things you always wanted to do is perfect. they need to learn as so we do that being a reasonable critic doesn't make you less of fan.and i def. think they should start focusing more on the true fans, not ppl in suits that take all the floor tickets, if you know what i mean? ;)
