I've been really pissed off with coldplay since the whole incident at the Brits awards. I mean the whole "Our fans are fed up with us and so are we" and all the other crap chris said was all just a publicity stunt so that they could get into all the major magazines the nxt day... and you can't say it's not cause who would pronounce that the band is won't be recieving an award for a few years and then the next day make an official statement that the band isn't breaking up?!?

That was so stupid and annoying, why did he do that????

 

I don't know... as the yeas go by they're getting more and more commercialised and main stream and i really hate that. They lost so much of what they were in the beginning and that sucks............

I really dont know what to believe and what not. I mean Chris says very often that he got enough, they're crap, he doesnt want to make music anymore etc....but then it doesnt happen. Then he is like: we are the best band, we make the best music...and so on...so I really dunno :o ..but in the other hand I think they deserve a break. They worked hard and they got a sucessful year behind em..so I am looking forward to their next album :D

I don't think that Chris does that kind of thing for media hype. Things just come out of his mouth without thinking when he gets all excited. He's like a little kid sometimes.

 

Don't dislike him - blame the press, not him :) Nothing he said suggested that they were splitting for good - he said that they were not going to be at things like the Brits for a few years - that's not suggesting forever.

 

The reason that they want to take this break is to get away from the annoying commercial side of things - all the press, TV and stupid award shows and go back to just making music for a few years. That's what you want, isn't it? :) :)

it's easy to see chris and coldplay the way you wanna see them cause that's who u believe they are, but they have been changing. I mean, just looking at X&Y compared to a rush of blood to the head, their songs lost so much authenticity of what they used to be...

 

i believe chris knew exactly what he was doing while he was doing it- he's been in the bussiness for quite a while now, and he's not dumb. He just plays dumb sometimes.
