I completely agree, Chris always shows he's happy winning awards (it was the same at the EMAs)...this time he prbably wanted to act like a super rockstar :lol: :lol: :lol: whom he's not :)

I've been really pissed off with coldplay since the whole incident at the Brits awards. I mean the whole "Our fans are fed up with us and so are we" and all the other crap chris said was all just a publicity stunt so that they could get into all the major magazines the nxt day... and you can't say it's not cause who would pronounce that the band is won't be recieving an award for a few years and then the next day make an official statement that the band isn't breaking up?!?

That was so stupid and annoying, why did he do that????

 

I don't know... as the yeas go by they're getting more and more commercialised and main stream and i really hate that. They lost so much of what they were in the beginning and that sucks............

Chris and all of them speak ironically so we shouldn't take these things seriously. He's definitely not a knob, we all know. They have changed but not so much that we should worry about them turning into idiots.

I think Chris is becoming too popstar-ish. I mean I'm all for him writhing around on stage.....[ ;) :lol: ]......but they're not the bloody backstreet boys for christ sake.

 

And just one thing really that pissed me off about the Brits. Just a silly thing really. This is the first time really that any of them other than Chris had spoken at an awards thing (i.e. Will). And I'm sure it must have taken a lot of courage cos it's a big deal. And yet chris felt the need to get his 2 pence worth in at the end. Ya know? I just felt, 'aw will..... :( ' But thats just me :lol: And you know how I love the Champion :D I do love chris too tho! ;) I love them all!! :kiss: PLUS! Maybe a break will do Chris good - back in the studio and more down to earth.

I'm not so sure that was it. I think they're really, genuinely tired of being in the critical eye on a constant basis. Chris hates the media; that's why he said that in the first place. And it's true, they DO need to disappear for awhile. He was probably so surprised that they actually won something that he was spurred into saying that.

 

Chris has always said crazy stuff and pronounced how much he thinks they don't deserve it or that they're crap.

 

And Coldplay's the biggest band in the world. They're not going to have that familar yet obscure quality that they had in Parachutes. They are still very much the same band but now get an extrodinary amount of media attention that is probably driving Chris up walls. You know how paranoid the man is. He once apologised about something he had said about Bono, when he hadn't even mentioned the man.

 

But I really think that they do need a nice long break and time away from tour and media scrutiny.

 

Oh and the champagne thing... I thought that was funny because they were poking fun of huge rockstars who do that stuff.... I thought.
