no, i've just been trying to ignore this kinda people who don't like people changing and chris still being critical about himself but now i've had it. it was the same thing with babyshambles, everybody just calls everybody for the c-word and the same on the offical where i'm afaraid to open my mouth. this was the nice place where people just smiled cause coldplay was in their lifes.. I AM FED UP WITH PEOPLE COMPLAINING! if you don't like coldplay, then don't but i don't care.. okay?! :angry: :angry: :angry:

true..i just wanted to say how much chris crosses the limits..but those are his limits...and i am sick of all these splitting-questions, cus this is just the beginning (i think) wait until out national papers start to make huge headlines next week and all those ppl who don't know them god just asking sarcashticly "well zorana, your coldplay is splitting?" :angry: and all that shit..but on the other hand i thank god that, im talking about my country, this wasn't such a huge news (till this minute and i hope it lasts)..ppl here obviously know chrissy, at least the journalists, ;)

If I were Coldplay' date=' and especially Chris, I would feel like I could never make everyone happy--even my fans, that everyone is always criticizing something, that everyone expects too much of me, and that it's impossible to be in the media spotlight and just be the human beings you are. I honestly don't know how they take all the pressure as well as they do. Chris is a little quirky, big deal. That's what I love about him, and it kind of goes with being a gifted musician. Most talented artists and other geniuses are a little quirky after all. I for one really wish everyone would give the band a break and stop putting everything they do and say under a microscope. :([/quote']

 

I don't think Chris said anything wrong though? He said we wouldn't see them for a long time and that's true. The thing is, they said the same thing back in the AROBTTH days (to record X&Y) and no one made a fuss of it. The difference now, is that they have a larger audience and the media pounced on it. I don't see anything wrong with his comment..but maybe there's something I missed? So many people are complaining about that.

 

As for the dancing, it definitely shows that Chris is more confident in his ability to perform. I personally think he should dance his butt off if he wants, for years Chris has been performing on a piano or just singing normally and if he wants to change it up...well, what's wrong with that?

I'm starting to get tired of seeing *fans* be so negative. Coldplay are human, they're not perfect, they change and make mistakes like everyone else, get over it.

 

IMO Chris didn't say anything wrong. He said they were taking a break, thats all, big deal. What is so wrong about that? He said it last time and I don't remember such a big fuss being made of it. Chris did NOT say 'we're breaking up!!! You'll NEVER see us again!' Sheesh, I wasn't aware that people believe what they read because the exact opposite is being written about what Chris actually said...that's the media for you. Nothing new.

 

I'm gonna have to get away from messageboards and such for a while, all this undue criticism is making me sad. :(

They'll have been touring for a year by the time they take a break. And by then Chris' second child will be a few months old. Maybe the guys just want to rest. Maybe Chris just wants to spend time with his two little children. Eh, eh?

 

Also, I take Chris' negativity as his way of staying humble. I am a bit like that myself. It's like... the Roman Empire or something. If you get all cocky, something's bound to happen to bring you down, you know?

god... u guys are just abit too subjective and blinded by your love for coldplay, it seems like no matter what theyd do u'd still justify them and say that it ok to change.

I still like em, but if they changed so much as t losing of who they are, or used to be in the beginning- therefore no longer the band that i admired and looked up to in the beginning, so what's the point of liking them.

and i've met so many ppl who've stopped liking coldplay ever since X&Y was out cause they just aren't coldplay anymore, they're this mainstream band, who wants publicity just like all the others....... and that's so hard to hear, but as time goes by it starts being more and more true

Isn't publicity what all bands want to some degree? That's how bands get signed, how they sell records etc...

 

When you get popular you are in demand by the press, whether you like it or not. Like the music or not is one thing, but I don't think you can blame them for the publicity. That comes with the territory when you become hugely popular.

It's so sad that you don't like them as much anymore, but I think part of might be because you had unrealistic ideas of them to begin with.. where you expecting or wanting them to stay the same small band forever? Coldplay is not mainstream/commercial, they are popular. Or known. Believe it or not, there's a big difference! They have changed, but so does every other human. (Personally I think they have grown alot more than they have changed.) They still don't put their music in tv adverts. They still promote MTF. Still insecure one minute, confident the next. Chris still makes man-love to Jonny...where's the change?! :lol: Chris may/may not have behaved how you wanted him to at the Brits, but the band as a whole has not changed. Their "ground rules" are very much still there.

Oh, and i never had an ideal picture of who coldplay are, trust me. It's just that i see, with no doubt, that the music has evolved in a way that it could fit more ppl, so they could be more popular. And that's not the kind of evolvement i was expecting to see that's for sure. So u could say that i did expect more for that reason

Have you read or seen any interviews with the boys? They have said many times that they don't have their music sell for companies. A Talk ringtone isn't advertising for anyone.

 

You not liking the music is a different subject altogether. It's your opinion and that's fine. I don't mind X&Y being different at all.. Parachutes will always be there. Why do you need 2 albums that sound alike for? I'll never know.

SO WHAT??!!!OMG, i think that was very normal....i men they looked really relaxed, because Brits are very relax, and not like Grammy where you sholud be deserve...for me that was really funny, and nothing else..
