went to her concert yesterday for the second time in a few months... she has an amazing voice, very interesting songs and she's soooooooo pretty!!!!

Went to see her in Amsterdam ealier this week.

The whole gig was recorded for a future DVD release. Lucky me! :cool:

Not a big fan of Katie. Dont get me wrong. She has a really good voice. Shes decent on her guitar....but the lyrics...the songs. They are just so un inspiring. Its Mike Batts fault. Hes crap. He cant write for buggery. And she should get rid of him...or write her own stuff. Hes pulling her down. Without him i bet she would have a lot more rythem..

I don't know Katie Melua very well! :D I only saw her performance at TOTP of "Nine Million Bicycles" and I liked it. She was also guest at the "Wetten, Dass..?!" show two weeks ago. :) Before that I've never heard anything about her.

Singer Katie Melua has entered the record books by playing the world's deepest underwater concert.

Melua and her band performed for workers 303 metres below sea level on the Statoil Troll A gas rig in the North Sea.

 

"This was definitely the most surreal gig I have ever done," Melua said.

 

The 22-year-old singer underwent extensive medical tests and survival training in Norway before flying by helicopter to the rig.

 

"It took nine minutes to go from the main part of the gas platform down to the bottom of the shaft in a lift," said Melua.

 

"Giving a concert to the workers there was something really extraordinary and an occasion that I will remember all my life."
