I'm thinking it'll be one hell of a video to pull off a non-favorite song like THP and then treating us to no bsides! :laugh4: i don't care with any critics or charts,but that the quality of songs is worse...it's obvious where are the new ideas? x&y isn't a bad LP but it's still a bit disappointing...and especially after Coldplay announced this the "best album ever" Okay, that's fine.. it's your own opinion Nik so not everyone thinks that. Coldplay as a band has not changed and as long as they don't I don't see how it's sad. The music has, but I think that was the point. Whether one likes the direction X&Y took or not.. completely up to the person.

March 21, 200620 yr Confidence is a good thing to a certain degree...if it motivates him to write some kickass music, then let him scream to the world that it's going to be the best thing EVERRR! :laugh4: I think for the most part, Chris just gabs without thinking...we all know that he keeps his ego in check and doesn't have a big head about fame and their success in the industry....so it's not like he's getting complacent or anything. :nice: edit: typos! oops. :P

March 21, 200620 yr I predicted this would happen right when the Special Dutch Edition of X&Y was announced, which includes the b-sides of the first three singles. Why would they ever release an "incomplete" Dutch Edition BEFORE their fourth single if they intended to have b-sides on it their fourth single? Didn't make sense to me... guess I was right. :| Secretly, though, I'm a little happy inside, because I bought the Dutch Edition, and then I would be missing out on a couple of (cd-quality) b-sides. (don't hurt me!)

Not to mention that Amazon's pre-release listings aren't always accurate and there's nothing listed on Amazon's UK site. I thought I'd heard a while back that there was a release date set for the 3rd of April (I had it marked on my calendar), so it seems odd that no info had come out yet. Not a good sign.... Plus no new songs on this tour. What's up with that?

March 21, 200620 yr "'The Hardest Part’ will be the next RADIO ONLY single release from X&Y." Does this mean it won't be released?!?!?! Don't mean to sound stupid but why is everyone so surprised? Didn't they do exactly the same thing with Don't Panic and God Put a Smile Upon Your Face? (I know they came out in other countries as proper singles or as promos) To be fair as well bands that released hundreds of singles from their albums are just ripping off fans way more than Coldplay are by making this radio only. In fact it's probably the best way of promoting the band without ripping off the fans by releasing another physical single that you have to pay money for. I'm all for it.

March 21, 200620 yr Hey I want new songs too... but this is talking no physical release. That means not even a live track! At least give us something like GPASUYF. Even if it's one sh*tty b-side... just give us one! Oh well... at least we've got the video and the Live 2006 DVD to look forward to.
