November 1, 200619 yr oh, you like islands and going to the beach, don't you? I've been in Mallorca twice and only once in Menorca but I prefered the second one. A friend of mine has been in Ibiza and she liked it so much... she says it has excellent discotheques and after hours and it's also full of german ppl. :laugh4: I didn't know anything of that award. anyway, I won't be able to see the programm... it's not shown here. :\
November 1, 200619 yr In either Benidorm or Salou there was actually a hotel called "Titanic". How anyone would have wanted to stay there' date=' I have no idea!![/quote'] haha, me neither! I guess he didn't know what name to put to the hotel... so they chose the first one they thought.

November 1, 200619 yr Lars, Ive got Muse in a few weeks, then Dirty Pretty Things, then Bloc Party :D  How about you? What about the rest of you for gigs? Any lined up?
November 1, 200619 yr It wasnt quite a full-moon, but nearly! Iris, its really cold here!! but at least its not raining. Do you go in the sea much in Barcelona (maybe not now as its nearly winter, lol) I expected that reply. I remember when I was in London last summer and its weather was terrible 'cos seemed it was winter when actually was summer, so... imagine now! (and I thought the same happened to Brighton 'cos they're near one to each other). No, I don't go to the beach too often, I think I went there only twice last summer. I prefer going to the mountain... well, let me explain an anecdote: there're some crazy ppl whom on Jan,1th, take a bath on the beach, just for starting the new year in a special way, I suppose. I'm used to watch that on the tv-news that day!
November 1, 200619 yr I also spent my holidays on Mallorca (1X Alcudia, 1X Can Picafort, 2X Cala Ratjada), Menorca (Cala'n Bosch) and Ibiza (San Antonio). My favourite island was Menorca, because it's more calm there and not so many people are spending their holidays on it than on Mallorca, although Mallorca is amazing. Wow Bloc Party? I would like to see them as well. My favourite song is "This Modern Love". I adore it so much! Are they doing a UK tour? My next gig is on Tuesday (Mando Diao & Razorlight) in Hamburg but then I don't have any gigs... Maybe I will visit concerts of two German bands but I don't have any tickets yet. Hehe Mark, well maybe, I was curious about it!
November 1, 200619 yr A plush ray! :nice: Yeah, it was the worst hotel ever! You always heard the alarm sound of the elevator! :D Oh Mark, but you didn't marry, did you? Kara, are there any gigs in the near future for you? what a shame you can't know that before going to a hotel... anyway, you always can learn sthg of that. they won't see you more there! :laugh4:

Mallorca is too full of German lager louts!!:P Menorca has more beaches than Mallorca and Ibiza combined.:smug:
November 1, 200619 yr The clubbing scene is amazing. I experienced it last year. and did you survive? my friend came back to barcelona exhausted after those busy days she had in the discotheque & after-hours.
November 1, 200619 yr Lars: oh, will you see Mando Diao? I'm sure it'll be amazing to see them live! :) (though I discovered them a few weeks ago)
November 1, 200619 yr Yeah, I will never enter this hotel again. But it was also a great holiday... I went to Lloret de Mar with my former football club. :) It will be the second time that I will see Mando Diao. Can't get enough of them! :) They're also the support band for Dirty Pretty Things in the UK tour. Lol Mark, but Ibiza was full of drunken British tourists. We were in San Antonio and every morning my family and I saw drunken people with terrible sunburns sleeping at banks on the beach promenade. :D
November 1, 200619 yr Yeah I was SO so pleased to see Bloc Party were doing a tour, Ive really wanted to see them for so long. Cant wait!! Mando Diao....thats your favourite band isnt it! Will be really cool to see Razorlight too ;) haha, drunken British twenty-somethings, usually chavs, raving it up....
November 1, 200619 yr Ah Kara, that's one of the bands I would really really like to see someday. Do you already know when their new album is coming out? There will be a German song on it, named after a district in Berlin called "Kreuzberg". :) Yeah I really like Mando Diao. You will watch them as well at your DPT gig. ;)
November 1, 200619 yr Oh really?! I didnt think about support bands! Oh that will be cool then. :nice: I think Bloc Party's new album is coming out in Jan/Feb time...not totally sure though.
November 1, 200619 yr Yes, I read it on their official website. A few months ago DTP should be the support band at Mando Diao's German gigs and now it's the opposite way. So you might see which band is bigger in which country. ;) Oh ok and your Bloc party gig is before or after the release of the new record?

I'm glad to know you enjoyed it (besides that hotel!). you mean the opening band?

So you might see which band is bigger in which country. ;) Oh ok and your Bloc party gig is before or after the release of the new record? Ah yeah, thats kind of funny, opposites! Are M.D really, really big in Germany then? Im hoping the album's released before the gig (5th Feb) as I wanna get to know the songs!
November 1, 200619 yr Yes, I meant that they're the opening band. :) I would say that they're really succesful here, but also in other countries like in Japan. It's strange... every big band coming from Sweden is getting really big in Germany. Mando Diao, The Hives, The Cardigans... I saw all three of them at this year's Hurricane festival. :) I'm sure Bloc Party will publish their new album before the gigs.
November 1, 200619 yr ^ perhaps that happens 'cos both countries have some similarities... *I dunno, though* hey Julie! how're you?
November 1, 200619 yr Hey Julie! :) Yeah, this could be the reason! :) What kind of music do Spanish people listen to? English speaking bands or some Spanisch ones? Did you ever hear something of "Héroes del Silencio"? I like "Entre Dos Tierras" so much! :nice: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZTWWplhWPio
