Wow, what a weather! Last night we've got a storm tide and nearly everything was under water which was not on the other side of the dike, because the storm has pushed the water of the North Sea to the coast... It was so horrible to see the damages this morning on my way to work.

 

Especially Hamburg was hit by the floods...

gosh! it must be terrible! fortunately these things don't used to happen to Germany, right? hopefully..

oh, did you work today? here in spain everyone was on holiday, I thought the same happened to all over Europe.

 

The weather here is really good, even today I've worn a short-sleeved t-shirt and my friends, as well. Anyway, now the temperature is about 14ºC...

Ah, what would I do to wear a t-shirt at the moment. :) Luckily this weather isn't very often here, only sometimes in autumn.

 

Well, some federal states in Germany had holiday today, but not the Northern states! :veryangry2: It's so f****** unfair, because we didn't have a public holiday yesterday as well. Bavaria for example does have 8 more public holidays than Lower Saxony and Bremen in a year. That's the disadvantage of having federalism though...

Hey Kara! Yeah it was so horrible but it also had a good side... these bloody children didn't go on the streets to collect tucks last evening! :D How's weather in England? I brought my parents to the airport one hour ago. They will fly to London this evening. I'm soooo jealous! My mum said that weather will be very fine in London the next couple of days. I hope it's become true! :)

Haha, good that the kids didnt go out!! I was walking to my friends house in the dark last night, some kids walked past me and shrieked at me, I was like :dozey: :smash:

I'm sorry for you! It's a bit weird that not all the ppl of your country are on holiday today and sometimes it can be unfair, as you said :uhoh:

 

I've met with my 2 best uni's friends and we went to a funfair (and there we've also met with another friend of us who works there that gave us free invitations for the funfair). We've had lunch there and have "visited" the emblematic amusements of the park such as a room with odd mirrors that deformed our body, another room with automaton and so on. I think my friend nearly took 150 pictures... I'll post some once I have them! ;)

Yeah these pictures are crazy... I just saw in the news that a ship overturned in the Baltic Sea near Sweden.

 

Ah to a funfair? How was the name of it? I guess we were in a similar one near Barcelona a few years ago. I had such a great time and I really enjoyed Malgrat de Mar. Not so loud than Lloret de Mar but still cool. :) Do you know these cities?

Its name is Tibidabo and it's pretty near to Barcelona. Have you ever been there? We went by bus and the trip took half an hour or so. Oh, and our friend that worked there has given to us as a gift a cute skate!

I have been in Lloret de Mar but I didn't like that place, I mean it doesn't have anything special, in my opinion (though my grandfather loved it and used to go there every summer), it's too tourist. And I also think I've been in Malgrat de Mar, but I'm not sure... perhaps I've gone to its beach, I don't remember at the moment.

We dont have any public holiday for halloween etc... I had quite a cool time clubbing, seeing Brighton and the beach again, although me and my friends came home quite early as we ran outta money. Damn expensive nights out.

I've been to Lloret and Tossa. They're both full of lager-louts!! I've also been to Benidorm and Salou. They were even worse!!:P

I wouldn't touch them again with a barge-pole!!:P

haha, seems that you didn't like none of the places where you've been in Spain. have you ever been in barcelona, Mark? it's very tourist, I can't deny it, but it has something special that you can breathe in its atmosphere only when you're here... (and I'm not saying that 'cos I live in Bcn, but 'cos I honestly think it).
