I paid for school myself and was living on my own, so yes it was necessary. Before I entered the Nursing program, I took all my classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays and worked the other 5 days. After I entered the nursing program, I had classes M-F, plus clinicals at the hospital after classes until 10pm, so I could only work on weekends and had to work 16 hrs to get enough money to live on.

It was awesome!! NY is definitely one of the best places ever.....everything you ever wanted there.... :nice: Loved it! Got completely exhausted from walking around so much...but was worth it. :nice:

 

The only bad part was the travelling obviously.....on the way there all the extra security, delays....when we got there, the part of the airport we were meant to be stopping in had had "an incident" so we had to wait on the runway side for another hour or 2. Gah. and the flight last night home, there was this drunk American tool who was constantly walking around the plane, also badmouthing English and Japanese people, also these two Russian men in front of us with their wives who kept egging him on and just generally being annoying (standing up when the plane was descending!!!) Fooking idiots. :veryangry: AGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

 

Anyway...apart from that it was excellent!!
