We could have done with that snow in the French Alps!! I just got back from skiing and the conditions there were pretty bad. Enough snow for skiing, but only just, with lots of rocks, grass and bare earth showing through.

I still had a great time though, and made some new German friends, three of them from Lars' neck of the woods.............................................. :cool:

But you still had a good time? Do you ski or snowboard? Denver area has gotten something like 28 inches of snow in December. I've never seen snow and would be thrilled with 1/2 a frickin inch.

Ski. As I said, not the best of conditions, but I made the best of the situation. Hopefully March will be better.

I would have liked to ski in Colorado, but it was far too expensive.

I never even make it to the skiing bits as I couldn't get on or off the lift and the angry mob would kill me for cocking up their holiday.

Anyway, it's further convinced me that "fish-heads" are more my kind of people, as I had a real laugh with these two guys!:P

Thanks to the new Wesertunnel, I only need 20 minutes to Bremerhaven. They have a big and good disco there where I often spend some days every year.
