Also we were translating a text from french to english this morning and my English business teacher kept saying "yeah, so back to the start ..." [of the sentence we've just translated] . Hearing it in English made me instantly think of the famous lyrics from The Scientist .

I was shopping the other day with my friend, and just as i was at the register that :censored: "When love takes over" with Kelly Rowland came on the radio in the store, and I said to my friend something like "Listen! This is such a fucking Clocks-ripoff!" and before my friend replies, the guy behind the counter is like "I know, right!" (:laugh3:) and then continues with "well, I bet Coldplay gets a few pennys for that song as well;)" ,

me: "Hah, yeah hopefully"

"So you're a big fan?"

"Yeah, they're my favourite band :wacky: you?"

"Yeah, they're awsome"

... and then i had to go cause the other customers behind were getting pissed off. :laugh3:

i think i am turning one of my other sisters into a Coldplayer, too. :wacky:

My sister has an acount, but I don't think she's ever used it.

My friend thinks Coldplay's alright, but she likes bands like Simple Plan or The Academy is... or Hawthorne Heights even more.

 

I'm not sure if she knows about Jonny, but I'm sure she meant "Johnny".

It will probably snow here in a couple of weeks. We;ve already been getting temps in the 30s(degrees fairenheit, I have no idea what that is in celsius:P). Then I will be longing for a Coldplay Christmas ep or something!

Yeah. I like only one song from TAI, and one time I saw one of their videos. IT RIPPED OFF OF THE SCIENTIST. The guy's walking backwards, then he puts on his jacket.

 

As for Hawthorne Heights, I bought one song from them, and it's not the best decision I ever made. :( Rescue meeeeeeee

 

However I have to say I'm a bit partial to Panic! At the Disco, but a lot of people at my school, including my Jonnehboy buddy are huge fans. *shrugs*

P!ATD was good. But then half of the original members left and they returned to the stupid old ways of their first album. I liked their second album waaaaaaaaaaaaaay better. Actually, I loved it. But now they suck again*sigh*

Back on the subject of Coldplay, I think I should make a my own take-apart Viva jacket. I could remove the bands after Halloween.

That's a good idea. I'm going to be making a jacket at some point too, but first I need the money saved up so I can buy it. Cuz there's no way I can make one from scratch, so I just wanna buy one that looks a lot like Chris's and then add the colors and stuff.

Hmm I could get some colored bands of fabric from a thrift shop or Jo-Ann's but the black jacket is hard to get...

 

You know what I don't think I have enough guts to walk around the neighborhood in a Viva jacket. Maybe I'll go as a hippie, a real hippie, not a glammed up PEACE OUT hippy girl. Or I can combine the ideas! Great thinking! *pats self on the head*

I was reading Coldplay's facebook and I don't understand this: "Our type of music is very heavy soft rock". How can they be heavy and soft ? :thinking:

It's heavy because it has these emotional, dark themes like regret, love, regretting love, life and death. But it's not presented in a heavy metal style--it's presented in a classic, piano rock, eclectic style, aka SOFT style.

 

That's how I see it.
