Jessie Macbeth, a Former Army Ranger and Iraq War Veteran Tells All

 

This 20 minute interview will change how you view the U.S. occupation of Iraq forever. I cannot possibly recommend this more highly. An Iraq war veteran tells of atrocities he and other fellow-soldiers committed reguarly while in Iraq. I have never seen this level of honesty from a U.S. soldier who directly participated in the slaughtering of Iraqis.

If he didn't answer the way we liked, we would shoot his youngest kid in the head. We would keep going, this was our interrogation. He could be innocent. He could be just an average Joe trying to support his family. If he didn't give us a satisfactory answer, we'd start killing off his family until he told us something. If he didn't know anything, I guess he was SOL."

this is exactly what the military does... they brainwash you into believing this and then you're probably drugged to do these things...... (in my opinion and in no way disrespect for the soldiers on duty or vets) --But its been known for them to trick innocent kids into joing the armed forces then completely change these kids minds by power of suggestion or worse psycho-meds... MY Father has told me countless stories of his 'buddies' that died and the type of position they were placed afterwards..... war is no joke.. not only for the soldiers and/or the innocent civilians.. but can changes your mental state forever.

 

I don't doubt that this soldier is just another victim as well... sad really.

First of all this is just one persons word....that hardly proves ANYTHING. reminds me of the time my brother was a kid and told his teacher my parents beat him so he could get back at them. maybe if there was some documented proof, not some nutjobs account of whats going. Sadly people want to believe the worste, so you all believe it. overall our army has been one of the most kindest armies in history, except fora few occasion, like the prison abuse, we play by the rules. we would have saved hundreds of soldiers lives if we played dirty like the terrorist do. we have the rules of war binding us when we fight, unlike most nations. if we were that evil, we could have iraq under our thumb by now, the same way saddam did it. massacre anyone who stood up to us...since we usualy play fair and follow the rules we dont do that.

 

This is nothing more then a some nutjob out to get america, unless their evidence to back up what he says.

First of all, its in select occasion, not commom practice. criminal acts happen in every war, that is a fact, but overall our military does not do that as a whole. these are rare occasion that are not condoned by our military.

Yeah but that was a rare occasion that doesnt happen to often, and they were PUNISHED for it. like i said their are times when stuff like that happens. BUT all in all thats not how our military operates. and when it does operate like that alot of the time people get into trouble for it.

Have you ever been to war? Because you seem to make quite a few "factual" claims that are unsupported.

And just so we're all clear - I'm not condemning the soldiers for doing what they do. It's a whole different world when you're on a battlefield.

I think that quote says enough. I'm sure if I was a soldier, I'd do some things that I'd never want to think of again. Does it make it right? No. Does it justify it? No. But it does help to see things from another perspective.

The soldiers ARE to blame when they break the rules and kill like that. the person who sent them to war cannot be blames for the actions of a few rogue soldiers....just like a police cheif shouldnt be in trouble if one cop decides to go pyscho and kill an innocent bystander.......

I have relatives are/were in the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, and Coast Guard...

 

My relative in the Army now has a... really corrupt family, my relative in the Marines is a complete jerk, my uncle in that was in the Air Force is a complete bastard, but the kiddos in the Navy and the Coast Guard are fine, heh.

 

But, my point is, when you join the Armed Forces, it changes you one way or another. Either for the good or the bad, and for this guy here, obviously, BAD. My cousin in the Navy is a lot more disciplined than she used to be... it's quite cool...

I'm not holding "the whole military" accountable for that. But it's more than just a RARE, once in awhile incident like you are claiming.

No, training is EVERYTHING in a battle. they are taught the standard military procudure so much its becomes instinct.

but these men represent the military.... where does the responsibility lie then?? Why was Rumsfeld allowed to stay in command?? This happened under HIS watch!!! Even the poor FEMA who was overseeing the whole Katrina fiasco stepped down.... he knew he was in the wrong......

I read about this elsewhere.. this story has actually been proven incorrect.

 

Another Fake Soldier Tale Debunked

According to Department of the Army spokesman Paul Boyce, there is no record of "Jessie MacBeth," a.k.a. Jesse Adam MacBeth, having served in either the Rangers or the Special Forces -- or in any part of the Army at all. Boyce told me Tuesday that a check on MacBeth's credentials came up empty. "At a minimum, this appears to have been concocted" and "some sort of hoax," Boyce said. Special Operations Command and the State Department have been alerted.

I definitely don't assume that innocent Iraqis have not been killed, since things like that do happen in wars whether the public knows about it or not.. but I find this particular story very sick and I'm so relieved it's not true. There's more on Jesse MacBeth here, if anyone is interested.

This is war, in war all the filth of the human race comes out, not the good and heroism that patriots would like you to believe, so in every war there's crimes, Americans are not the goody good ones as they like to portray themselves that their soldiers can't do wrong, but the only difference is that American soldiers can go unpunished after doing hideous crimes...
