^ true!! I almost forgot ABC.. but I prefer the Spanish speaking telecasters...

haha I don't get ESPN2 so I have to listen to the Spanish channels. I love when a team scores....

But the games are on the replay all the time on those channels so I'm always confused it they're realtively live or not. :dozey:

In Germany you can watch all 64 games on Premiere (Pay TV). ARD and ZDF (similar to Britains BBC) share the free-tv rights with RTL which is showing all Sunday games. So, you can watch 56 of 64 games on Free-TV. ;)

ZDF has the best coverage (with 3D praphics, a huge studio at Potsdamer Platz in Berlin etc.) and commentators. Franz Beckenbauer and Pelé are the experts, together with a Swiss ex-referee and Jürgen Klopp (coach of Mainz 05).. :nice: But ARD has Gerhard Delling and Günther Netzer! They are the best, because they always make so many jokes and regularly annoy each other. Rudi Völler is working for RTL by the way. ;)

which games don't they show?

some of the last group games happen simultaneously... I don't know, if the freetv-channels broadcast just one game or do some kind of confernce.

Indeed, ARD and ZDF will decide which game they want to broadcast, for example ARD decided to show England-Sweden instead of T&T-Paraguay. ;)

TSN and channel 58 in Kingston, Canada...with the Final on CTV. All I know is that I won't have to miss any England matches!! And I sure hope I see England on CTV!!!

Here is a picture of the American tv-channel ESPN2, who showed a few World Cup matches...

The flags are very interesting... :P

Whoa....today the world cup was on RTL...man I didn't like it....they started at maybe 12pm...so today there were/are 3 games....but they were only showing things about Brazil...the brazilian team et....for those 3 hours until the croatia-Japan match began...that was not cool....:dozey:

Yes, I also don't like the games on RTL, so today I watched all games on Premiere. The commentators of RTL aren't very good and as you said, they only spoke about Brazil and the fat Ronaldo instead of Brazil and Australia.

IMO the best coverage has ZDF. Their studio at Potsdamer Platz in Berlin is amazing! Yesterday when Giovanni Trappatoni came into the Sony Center after the Italy match the mood was incredible. Pelé and Beckenbauer do a great job as well. And don't forget the "Torwandschießen". :smug:

Yeah.....ZDF is also my favourite so far..ARD is boring..I think the fact that ZDF have Jürgen Klopp is cool...he is a cool guy...

Hehe, Jürgen Klopp is my favourite expert. ;) He once mentioned my little "Kaff" called Brake after a Bundesliga match, because his goalkeeper played here for a while. :nice:

ARD is really boring, except Delling and Netzer. They are very funny. :)

I prefer the BBC coverage over the ITV coverage, only because of the red button to switch off the person talking :)

For those who have french channels...M6 and TF1...

RAI (the italian TV) gives just 1 (yes,1!!!!!!!) match a day, IT'S A SHAME!!!!!!!!!!!!today i watched just Brazil...........and tonight I can't support Korea against France!

For those who have french channels...M6 and TF1...

TF1 comentators are so lame!!!!

In France you also can watch games on Canal +, Canal + Sport and Euro Sport. ;)

Yeah it's a shame Nicko! :( Sky Italia (Pay-TV) has the right to show all 64 games, or? It's the same in Portugal... only 12 games are on SIC, all other games on SportTV (Pay-TV).

ITV has the worst picture quality of all channels! :D

something worse is happening in Portugal!!! first of all SIC must be the worst portuguese public channel... SPORT TV is a great channel, unfortunetly pay-tv...

ok... in Portugal if you sign cable tv you get a package including around 50 channels, in this package are the german RTL and the french M6 who are showing world cup matches... to sign SPORT TV you pay an extra tax... so, the cable company blocks RTL and M6 when they are showing matches... lame!!!

YES

Fortunatley Italy is not the only nation in the world with this stupid thing......

Oh really? It's very unfair!

In Germany Pay-TV doesn't have a chance! If you can only see 12 of 64 matches live in Free-TV everyone would become very angry. :)

fortunetly I live in Switzerland, and here 3 swiss channels show all the matches at the same time... one in german, one in french and one in italian... :D
