I'm gonna do what I want.

"You will never know how it feels growing up listening to music lyrics which for the most part are not in sung in your mother tongue. You will never know how it feels to sing along quite happily although you don't really understand the lyrics. But you sing anyway because it feels right. You will never know how it feels to discover the meaning of lyrics of those songs many years later. You will never understand that feeling, that sort of awakening. You will never know how strange that feels. And you will never know how it feels to travel to another country and still not be able to listen to music sung in your own language. You will never know how easily you can identify yourself with lyrics that you don't quite understand just because you like the sound of the words. And because you feel you understand the message of these words. And you will never know how useless you might feel when the bloody CD booklet does not include the lyrics. And you will never know how it feels listening to a reporter asking an artist, why are you singing in your mother tongue? Isn't singing in English easier and more successful? Doesn't singing in English guarantee a bigger audience and better sales?

And I will never know how it feels the other way round. And I will never know if that's good or bad. And you won't know either."

i get that...can't quite relate, obviously, but i can imagine the frustration...

:)   ;) :sneaky:  :snore: :bomb: :wacky:  :sad2: :uneasy: :crown:

In all this talk of time

Talk is fine

But I don't want to stay around

And sleep sweet dreams

Me and you with wings on our feet
