Working for a Livin'!

Featured Replies

Just wondering what all of you do for a living....do you like your job and is it satisfying? Are you happy with your pay packet?

Currently I work at a supermarket and also work at a garage part time..I like both jobs, the pay is not that great, but the people are very good to work with, that's why I am still there..cos If the ppl are not good to work with, then It will suck, even if the pay is good...

I am hoping to eventually work at a garage full-time,when I get round to doing all the courses and study!!

Uh... right now I'm in school. Well, not now, since I'm on summer break, but y'know. I hate school. Bleh.

I'd rather be working--seriously, haha. Screw my education! *runs around*

yeah yeah... :P

Sciences and stuff always come easy to me, so I'm gonna be a doctor. Thing is, though, that I'm a bit lazy--gotta change that. And I'm not sure if I'll be able to handle being at fault for someone's death/telling a family that their loved one died... etc etc.

Yeah anway...

yeah school is important...

I've stopped one year, I'll stop maybe 2...but I must go to school, cos I want to be a car designer...

This is the biggest dream of my life!!!!And I won't ignore it!!!

When you know you're dead sure it's your destiny (I don't believe in destiny but, there I will do an exception...)

I draw cars since I'm 14...I always knew since this age that I would design cars..

You've got a dream?Give all your best to make it realize!!!

One more year in school and after that I'm supposed to go to uni or something like that. But hell, if I fail my exams I'll have to work and I'll have to work after uni anyway. Have no idea what my future job will be like. I hope it'll be at least interesting for me.

I've got one more year in school, then uni... I think I'll study something like Fiscal Economics...

But I got to make some money, so in the weekends I work at local bookstore... the pay is quite good and the work is nice... I've been working there for 2 years now and I think I'll stay there for another 5.. :nice:

haha :laugh2: pay packets.

I work at the Gap. But I don't plan on making a career of it..unless they offer me management.

I am pretty satisfied with my pay...it's not a whole LOT..but its really good for a first job. Easy money too...its not a difficult job.

After a few months on the job, I will eventually go back to school for asl.

i'm not working and just grad.uni...so i'm free 24/7:D and it's great.

no not at all. well maybe later will be.:D

I'd like to have a job but now i can't i'm in my first year of uni so that's almost impossible.. I would be really stressed.. more than I'm now.. :S

well just finished my last year at secondary school...but i am staying on in education in sixth form next year.....to study a few subjects..but i am looking for a part time job to get a bit of money in meanwhile

This may sound negative on my part...But I am not the type to go for a job that will make easy millions.

I want a job that is gratifying. And always changing, always learning tid-bits of information.

I am preetttty sure I won't have an above average life where everything is easily made. I think I have the hard working bones, blood in me.

And I am positive that this won't bother me one bit! :nice:

^^ good for you! its much more satifying i should think in the long run

work...hahaha whats that? jk my parents have cut me off , so i just got a job at outback steakhouse. but thats just til i get out of college.

Currently working at a catary, earning £40 -> £60 a week depending on how many hours I work. However i am looking for a trainie accounting job to move on.

At the end of the day it's all about the money isn't it....

i do school and i also work in a supermarket meat department (deli), the work isnt pleasant at times but the people i work with have become like my best friends, which is why i decide to stay, even occasionally i come to say, i love my job!!

though, i know i wont be there for ever, because i want to move onto other horizons (corny i know)

after 20 years the principal of my school has resigned because he wants to take a new direction with his future.....hes like 50 or so now and he;s still movin on

I am a slaughterman, good wage, but I really hate the job, Oh how I wish I could afford to take a lower paying job......
