How have you changed in the last 5 years?

Featured Replies

5 years can be a looooong time in someones life, one of serious change.

Its hard to think about, you'll have to try hard with me, and imagine and get a good idea of what you thought of yourself 5 years ago, and also, are you getting towards a place that you thought you'd be?

As lame as this is, I cant really answer, for the simple fact that I had a ridiculous amount of ambition that could never be fulfilled, at the age of 14. When it came to actually fulfilling these ambitions I've discovered how hard it is, but have still done myself proud to keep trying to further myself, but Im definately not the person I'd hope I'd be, 5 years ago.

I havent changed a lot in the last 5 years.

But I change in the last year.

I have the same friends and make a few more,I knew people from differents countries,(I found this board).I have a anew job and now my vision of my life change a lot.I want to travel and I am looking for it

yep, but I've got a lot more changing to do now to be who I really want to

just like you alfredo, I haven't changed much in the past five years, but I have changed pretty much this past year and a half. My self-confidence has become a lot better and I think I have become more happy in a way. I guess this is becuase I began in a new school and got a lot more friends than I had before and they made me feel good about myself. There are still many things about myself that I want to change and I hope I do that soon

heck yeah i have.

i was only ten years old five years ago, so. :P

uh, i'm smarter, bigger, a tad more social, less of a moral compass, etc etc... but i don't know where I'm going though. meh.

I don't listen to Limp Bizkit anymore.

Oh leggy

U+I=1

Well for starters, I'd only seen Coldplay once 5 years ago, now it's 6 or 7 times...how can life not be better for that? But seriously, I've learned alot of skills in the last 2 years that I never had the self-confidence to even attempt 5 years ago. I'm living my dream now...even though I'm not making very much money at it, I'm content. I wish I'd known 5 years ago that the place you are happiest is the place you are...if you choose to be happy there.

I think last five years were maybe the most important period in my life so far. From 11 to 16, it really meant much to me.

My family changed, my life changed, my world view changed very much.

At 11 I was happy enough, I was actually a kid and I thought that when I'm 16 I'll be excellent student with many friends and maybe a boyfriend.

And now I'm 16 and I'm a medicore student, I don't have many friends and a boyfriend. I'm more nervious, more depressive and vulnerablse than 5 years ago.

But I think I stuck somwhere between 11 and 16. I mean, my real age is 13 maybe. Yeah probably I was changing from 11 to 13 and then I stuck.

5 years ago i was 11. so in these 5 years i have done all me GCSEs. and found good taste in music. result!!!

I was 9, I am smarter and more self-concious.

Well I have changed, one of the most important things I realised was that things won't change on their own. They require action, no matter how unpleasant sometimes it may be.Also I never thought I'd be doing currency trading for a living, well I don't do it yet, but I'll start in about week.

I have changed in the past 5 years I think, I am more adventurus

yeah, i feel the same about that "when i'm this old,i'm gonna be like that" thing.

i thought i'd become one of those people who are happy all day long and who go out every weekend and have fun with their friends and blah~

bullcrap ...

I think I changed in a positive way... I used to be quite self-conscious and I cared about what other people thought of me.. Now I feel like I can really be myself and not worry about all the rest. I now feel that everything will happen the way it's supposed to happen and I feel good about it. 5 years ago, I think this is what I imagined myself to be, or at least how I would like myself to be. I'm pretty happy overall...

5 years ago I was an innocent 15years-old girl. Also much more vulnerable and with less experiences about life in general. However, I had a lot of new situations which I had to face for the very first time... so in certain aspects, my life was more exciting then than now. Even so, now I've obtained the necessary confidence in myself for doing things.

A lot.

I'm a lot more mature, and a lot more... well... I'm a lot more confident of being able to handle certain situations now. I mean.. I've read through conversations saved on my PC from about 3 years ago and the way I used to flirt with girls and I'm sitting thinking "what the hell is this guy saying?" then I realise it's me. A lot of my friends I have grown out of, I've also had a lot of experiences that have shaped my life and who I am today (such as my grandad's death leading me to be a more religious person).

I'd say I was a completely different person. I'm taller now, also.
