The First Noble Truth of Buddhism is that life is all about suffering. When one comes to accept this truth, one can truly begin to enjoy life. How ironic is that? We live in a beautiful world...but only if we choose to enjoy it from within...God knows we've destroyed this place to a point that without internal 'happiness' we'd be completely miserable. In other words, I hope your realism is blended with some sense of joy...

The only joy is listening to music while looking out over the lake by my house at sunset.... my realism atleast for me is that some people arent meant for this world.

I've been joking with you about how it pains me to have to agree with you...lol...but in this case, it's not a joke. I know the feeling...If it weren't for music, I would have no optimism whatsoever...

I never felt like I belonged here...

A friend of mine in Vermont once told me about going to see Coldplay after their home had been destroyed by a tornado...After they had lost everything, they went and heard Chris sing 'Everything's Not Lost'. 'Nuff said.

G'night. although im a christain so im not into buddhism...lol.

I hope you're not offended by this, because some people would be, and I mean it in a complimentary way to Jesus Christ...I was raised as a Christian...In some ways, Jesus was the ultimate Buddhist. The end of his life was all about suffering so that ours could be about Joy...I'll check your reply tomorrow...G'nite for real...Hmmm...Deja vu!

I can see why you say that. but then again jesus taught that buddhism was a false religion and christianity was the only true one. so in some of his actions i guess you could see why but in his teachings it goes agaisnt buddhism....
