I've met a few...sadly, noone from Coldplay! I met Peter Gabriel about 12 years ago in a Four Seasons lobby in Boston...All I could do was stammer 'I...i...it's an honour t...t..to meet you, P...p...peter'. So much for all the intelligent things I would have liked to have said to him. I've had a few other meetings with bands that were alot less embarrassing too...but I won't bore you with mine!!!

C'mon...DISH!!!

Where I come from is a small country town so we always get AFL (Australias national sport) teams come down for footy clinics so I've met a few. They wouldnt be celebrities for non-Australians though. I've also met a few other Aussie actors who nobody would have heard of... :)

I've seen a lot of corrie stars in and around Manchester, lets see

Maxine Peacock (before she was savagely murdered)

Jim McDonald (before he was threw in prison)

Ken Barlow

Les Battersby

Toyah Battersby

Vera Duckworth (I was in her pub  )

Linda Sykes

Mike Baldwin (at Manchester Airport check in desk)

Not actually met any of them though. If you want a huge celebrity list just ask jenjie! :stunned:

Well, I met a German comedian called Michael Mittermeier when I was working at a radio station for a month.. I talked to him, got an autograph and was with him when he did an interview on the radio!

And I met Starsailor and Keane after their gigs :D James Walsh, Starsailor's singer, is the BEST, I love him, he was the sweetest!!

Well, I met one of my favorite authors, Terry Brooks, at a booksigning once, and one of my favorite artists (illustrator, really) Ted Nasmith, and talked to him for a long time about painting stuff- but that's a long story.

But the big one at the Juno awards will make my stomoch bottom out again if I talk about it and I'll start squee-ing and going all fangirly, so I'll just let you read what I already wrote.

Here's my first reaction here: http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showthread.php?t=27342&page=9

and a longer write-up here: http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showthread.php?t=27342&page=14

My friend autumjoy posted much more about the encounter and pictures on later pages too...

hahah ! I just read ' Barlow' and was gonna get all psycho jealous on ya...but then I saw it wasn't LOU Barlow but KEN...lame! :disappointed:

Well...not MET them like..talked to em and had some time with them. But Selena briefly shook my hand and smiled to me on her way out to the concert she did here at the Houston Rodeo I was really little.....does that count as MEETING her? I don't think so.

Maybe then it should be titled 'enounters' with famous people.

well i dont know if you would call her a "Celebrity" but i met the president of Ireland,Mary McCleese in Aras an Uchtaráin (her house.equivelent of Downing Street) the reason how i got to meet her is not so fortunate however. When i was 11 i was singing in the choir in my church for a First Communion service, some guy had an ongoing feud with someone in Church (it was the guy grandsons Communion) anyway this guy burst into the church and shot him,it was a traumatic experience for everyone involved let me tell you as most of the people there were kids.A few weeks after that the President invited everyone who was there on the day to meet her.Different circumstances i know but i thought id just share that.

Thanks for listening.

Bohs Man.
