mo: i think it was awarded to zidane, more or less to reward him on his amazing career... he's been france's stand out player, helped bring them to the wc finals, is retiring now, and has had a phenomenal career. i see why they gave him the golden ball.

Zidane first three matches..he didn't do anything. Against Spain something. Against Brazil, that was an abolsute brilliant match. Against Portugal, anything. Against Italy, not so much plus the headbutt

 

Cannavaro...just perfect in any match, we didn't take any goal apart from an own goal and the penalty yesterday

 

and please take in consideration just THIS WC

many think zidane was the one who did deserve it this time round. fifa obviously did too, if they awarded it to him.

 

and if zidane was provoked, then it should be the one who provoked him who should be ashamed of himself. i am beyond 100% sure he acted on impulse from a comment from whoever it was. he would not do that for absolutely no reason.

I think both Mazeratti and Zidane should be ashamed, they both did something wrong.. To me, provoking and attacking other players verbally should be punished as well!

if they didn't want you to win that badly, the ref would have found another way of penalising italy within the game. to me it seemed like fair refereeing.

i absolutely agree with that .. Zidane played one fantastic game and two good games and the rest he was pretty average.

 

Cannavaro for me, has been sensational throughout the tournament for Italy and probably one of the main reasons why they have their name on the trophy.
