Earth Core, Baby

Featured Replies

This question's been bothering me for such a long time...

I just wanna know is there anybody who thinks that there may be no Earth core?

I know it sounds stupid, but how can you be sure? Nobody's ever seen it, it's too warm to dig and all. It's just a hypothesis, isn't it? How can scientists be sure about core's existence?

I'm sooo bothered with this question.

:freak:

Just because no one has dug down to the core does not mean they dont have a good idea of what its made of. but i guess they could never be really sure unless they actually saw it.

we know whats there because of seismic waves. the P and S waves travel at longdituinal and transverse each, and stuff. this means we can monitor their paths through the earth, and tells us how far down the core is and what its roughly made off. ta da!! :smart: :\

Holy shit never knew that :wacky:

Well, if it's true I'm confused. Somewhy I still doubt. I suppose I'll never believe in it 100%. Maybe if I saw it I'd believe. Maybe.

It's just.... I've always thought that tere's no core and then there may be aliens inside our Earth... Or it could be just empty... Or maybe water? :wideeyed: Like a balloon filled with water with people living on it....

Forget about it :disappointed:

The Earth doesn't exist, it's all a trick of the mind

you're not really here, it's just a manifestation of God and you're really sitting in a room somwhere, stuck in this "reality" and wtaching it unfold.

anyone ever have the feeling that they're not really...REAL? l

Uh, there no way you could see the core of the earth anyway, it would absolutely blind you and theres also no way of photographing something that is surrounded of pure white light.

^No that comes from the mantle.

Get your facts right.

And why would it be?... Haha, never mind, people, I guess you're right, it exists because of all these seismic waves and all.... What a disappointment for my poor brain :disappointed:

Yes! Yes! Especially when I look at the mirror for a long time I start thinking: Who am I?.... Like, I see my body but I'm not a body, I'm something inside it and so I'm something small and all..... I've never could explain it but that thing bothers me all the time and I feel like I'm not really a human but something inside human's body.

well whatever... there all the same bloody thing to me:laugh3:
