Oh my, I hope this is supposed to be tonge-in-cheek. Cause if not, it's obvious this guy doesn't appreciate music - lyrics can mean what you want them to mean, and personally, I think stating things abstractly makes a song all the more interesting.

obvz this guy hasn't got any problems with the other lyrics Chris wrote as he's only focussing on this song.... GET A LIFE and appreciate what he's written!!!

i never understood this line, from chris himself or anyone else. im pretty picky about lyrics, but coldplay has some of the best ive ever heard. i just connect with some of their lines.

of course, it is everyones own interpretation, but i dont understand why so many people think that coldplay could improve on their lyrics. i find them wonderful.

well that's a really annoying article. i think its easy to see that this is just a lame attempt to be noticed when you're a writer and no one knows who the hell you are. I dont think anyone informed him that analogies and metaphors are common in songs and many times there are deeper meanings, there's symbolism. But wow, its great how he took things literally.

 

someone should tell him that making fun of a song that millions of people love doesn't make anyone think you're smart-- just ignorant.

haha no we get all the new albums as well, but you know what is popular that sells much faster and better.

 

i think he released some singles in the last months and the music channels show his videos quite often so it's not surprising at all that he is still in the charts

It is overplayed. Maybe that's why tommy WEE(:tongue: ) wrote the article. After you hear a certain song for the billionth time the lyrics seem...blah.
