the one i have certainly isnt live. at least it doesnt sound like it. it starts off real quiet with faint studio chatter and then gets louder into the song. i downloaded it from this site, so its available somewhere. i dont know how to post stuff like that.

that's the 50 seconds version, there's another one. around 4 minutes or something and it sounds to me like an unmastered studio demo

i got myne off limewire and it doesnt sound like a crowd is there but the sound is kinda like at a concert.

And the entire song comes from the 2 Meter Sessions. It's a soundboard recording that was broadcasted on radio, and there's not one ounce of crowd noise throughout the entire show so everything kinda sound demo-ish.. but it's definitely not. But technically it is a studio recording since they played it live at Wisserlood Studios! :lol:

It sounds live in the fact that the vocals are rough and echoey, but there's no crowd noise at all... nice find.

I have no idea why the short version made rounds instead of the longer.. even the lossless version of this show has the shorter clip. Only thing I can think of, is if whoever first released the show (as a torrent or on the hub) made an error with Harmless and it spread like that, and the long version is someone else's recording. Anyone could've recorded it since it was broadcasted on radio. But if I remember right it was Josceline who first posted the long one, though she isn't the taper.

Songs like Harmless and A Ghost that they just played once and then forgot all about their existence seem real unlikely for a release. Not to mention it is was written in 2000 or earlier.. I think if they wanted to release it, they would have done so by now.
