lol. Don't get me wrong, I believe you...but I'm not sure that it was actually promoed. If it was just a live performance of it, it really doesn't count. If it was re-edited with extra footage of something and/or had some sort of promo release (like Moses), then it was promoed. If it was just a live performance taken directly from the DVD.

I don't know for SURE that nothing's been released, but I've yet to see information on One I Love anywhere.

Hey, if it helps at all, "One I Love" was released promotionally in Australia as a single. Format is CD, Serial PR 362, and it was distributed in a clear slimline case w/no artwork. Also just learned, it was released as a promo in the UK, as well. Don't have that one, so can't verify serial, etc..., but looks legit.

but it was shown on national tv which means it had to be a promotion thing that was payed for it's rights, you can't just take official stuff and put it on national tv, so it must've been some promotion plus like 66 said it Was a single in australia so...

How come' date=' they release a single in just one country. Why not everywhere else, too? And then, how do they choose that country? Is it like: "Well, The Australians didn't know the lines of White Shadows at our concerts, so maybe we need to help them a bit with giving them the new single"[/quote']

Hahaaaa, well since you're German, I doubt you'd know the lyrics to the track.

Yay' date=' I'll buy it for $2.95 at Jb Hifi[/b'] :D:laugh3:

*eep* Me too!

hey, I don't mind admiting when I'm wrong. Sorry for arguing, I've just never seen anything released for One I Love before. I'm sold on the CD Promo...still not to sold on the video. VH1 plays live stuff for videos all the time, it doesn't really make it a promo single. But with the release of a CD, I am wrong. I just know that Moses was really the song they promoted for Live 2003, it had a real video and everything.

But hey, you learn something new every day, right?

Dave

yeah, it wasn't an argue, don't sweat about it, just an exchange of informations

This is the White shadows single's artwork!

On the single, we will have at least THREE TRACKS!

This is the White Shadows fake single artwork!

Check yours X&Y Code in your X&Y CD booklet.

Also, if cover is black, how come we can see X&Y-code-black-squares?

There should be 7 black squares on the top, can you see them?

Black squares on black background?? C'mon..

I don't think there's going to be any release at all. That's what Debs said. I don't know where you got any of this information...but if Debs says there won't be any format, there won't...

And CD was in stores already from 27 June.

Debs don't know everything.

Cover should look like this:

Sorry, but White Shadows single will be 100% radio single and only for Australia...

And the video? probably no video!

Debs confirmed yesterday!

how pity that no video,aaaaaaaaaaa:cry:

so next will be released only next year from new album:happy: im lookin forward

Next year will have a new album? I am doubt it...

New single?That's pukka!!

I'm anxious to view the video...

Ah, what a bloody shame! It's too bad there's no new single, as I'm sure we would all run out and buy it! White Shadows isn't the most radio friendly song on the album though... brilliant song, but not a "top of the pops" single. Square One has much more radio/chart potential, but honestly, if they want a #1 hit single, they ought to release 'Til Kingdom Come and the b-sides could be the live Johnny Cash tribute medley thingy they play. Absolutely brilliant! 'Til Kingdom Come has, by far, the greatest cross-market appeal and would be such a huge single, I can't understand why they didn't release that... except that perhaps they have this weird "integrity" thing and didn't want to cash in on Cash's death.

Haha...ironicly, I asked that question lol.

See, that's a bit different, in that case she had no information at all...she wasn't making up stuff or anything, she knew nothing til she got confirmation. In this case, she has information. There she wasn't really "wrong", just ignorant.

As for the video: she's only denied them making a new video, but that a new vid looks likely. They have tons of tour footage and stuff to make a nice video out of. I'm sure it will either be a live performance, or a tour "montage" type thing. Either way, it's a video. And any video is better than no video, right.

I agree, White Shadows isn't radio friendly, but neither was Talk or Fix You, yet they were re-edited brilliantly for release. And Square One, IMO, would actually be terrible for radio. I just can't see anyone playing a song like that...and it especially cannot be edited into anything radio-friendly.

As for Til Kingdom Come: Hahahahahahaha...I'm sorry, but I find that hysterical. I think Life Is For Living would have made a better single! I agree, a JC tribute would've been cool...but on a JC Tribute compliation! It's a great song, I love it...but soooooo far from single worthy it's not even funny!

White Shadows - Sixth single?

It should've been the third or the fourth.

I AGREE 100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001%

It's such a standout track on the album!!!

My ideal X&Y Single Order:

Speed Of Sound

Fix You

White Shadows

Talk/What If? (AA-Side)*

Swallowed In The Sea (in select countries only)

*I think this could be really cool, actually. CD 1 could have the Radio Edit of Talk and TLA Mix of What If. The cover would have the Talk code, then on CD 2, it would have the What If? code, but same color as CD 1 (therefor representing it's the same single). That disc could feature a b-side and album versions of the singles. Then the 7" on one side would have the Talk code, and on the other have the What If? code...both sides being designed to look like the front cover. OK, so maybe I've thought too much into this...but hey, I'm pretty bored and have nothing better to do, so...

Dave

Now there are many singles! 6:stunned: But they should do the videos of What if and White shadows to clean they're name because of THP video

Is the single available to pre-order yet?

If so, where?

  • Author

Very Probably will be a radio only single!

  • 1 month later...

*bump*

White Shadows is not even a radio single now :(

yep, this was on another thread but here it is again --->

Debs Wild

Hi all,

I know there's been quite a few incidents recently where we have mentioned something is scheduled to happen and then reported the opposite. I thought it may be worth reminding everyone that as with tour dates, releases etc, EVERYTHING is always subject to change (non specified changes too).

With that in mind, news just in:

White Shadows was a planned Australia radio only release for today (25th September), but that is now not happening.

Sorry for any confusion but just wanted to let you know, especially Australian fans waiting to hear it on rotation.
