[News] The sixth single from X&Y: White Shadows!

Featured Replies

After the releases of Speed Of Sound, Fix You, Talk, The Hardest Part and What If (the last two limited editions), Coldplay will release another single: White Shadows!

The confirmation arrives from Coldplay.com...at today, date of release, tracklist and the artwork are unknown, but it's sure that White Shadows will be released for Australia only...

Anyway, we will have the SIXTH single...WHITE SHADOWS!

I hope this time there will be some new bsides.......

What If wasn't an official single was it? Cause they didn't make a video...right?

It's not necessary to make a video to consider a single...

Unfortunately it's just an Australian single.

And they wanted to release thp in Germany, too - but we can just buy it on Amazon.de - it's not in the shops.

hope so too! at least NOT another version of How You See the World..

I think right that!

Oooh I always wanted White Shadows to be released as a single, but I guess you can't see it as an official release, just like What If - it's only available in one country, so - congratulations, Australian citizens :P

But perhaps, as coldpatrix said, it's the third single which features HYSTW live from Earls Court - that would be in line - 3 limited singles which have the same b-side.

why only australia????

That's what's called marketing  ...until the DVD will be released

I wanted them to make a video for this. :/

How come, they release a single in just one country. Why not everywhere else, too? And then, how do they choose that country? Is it like: "Well, The Australians didn't know the lines of White Shadows at our concerts, so maybe we need to help them a bit with giving them the new single" or "White Shadows, definitely Australian kind of music - the rest of the world won't like it!"

- Seems strange!

Where does it say this then? Only I can't find it on the site...probably being really thick! But yeah new b-sides!!! Yay!!!

So many singles.. but it would be nice to hear some new b-side though! It's kind of weird to release it only in one country

It's in the Q&A under "Unreleased Single"

"White Shadows will actually be released, but only in Australia"

This reminds of a nirvana song.

Milk It.

They are milking the album dry, worse than green day with american idiot.

What If was a single? :stunned:

White Shadows is next? :stunned:

Only for Australia? :stunned:

Oh dear.

:bigcry:

you and me...

on the same page.

seems like the releases are never ending, which is a bitch for all the collectors.

next it'll be the super-duper-limited-after-tour-before-DVD-X&Y-South West Europe edition, including a remix of white shadows as the only new material.

And we suckers'll buy it.

'White shadows' is such a great song, so why the hell release it only in australia, when they could have released it instead of that sh*t song 'the hardest part' with the worst video ever made to go with it. I'm mighty miffed now.
