Willis 'back for fourth Die Hard'

The actor, 51, will reprise the role of hard-nosed police detective John McClane in the film, to be called Live Free or Die Hard.

It will be released in the US on 29 June 2007, making it a key film for next year's lucrative Independence Day weekend, Variety magazine reported.

The first Die Hard film established Willis as a box office star in 1988.

Computer sabotage

The franchise has earned more than $740m (£392m), not including DVD sales.

Live Fast or Die Hard marks a return for the series after an 11-year hiatus.

The plot centres on an attack on the US computer network which threatens to bring the country to a standstill.

It will be directed by Len Wiseman, best known for the Underworld films - which star his wife, Kate Beckinsale.

Willis's recent films include comic-book adaptation Sin City and animated comedy Over the Hedge.

Last year, the actor received the Order of Arts and Letters, one of France's highest cultural honours, for his film work.

That's a little annoying. I just bought the trilogy in the last few weeks and i will have to buy that one separately to have the set (presuming it's good).

Hmm this news was actually old 2 years ago - only thing of note that is new is title and date. Thanks for those, am now looking forward to it. :)

An obvious sign that his career had been flagging!!

^That and Hollywood really has run out of ideas... between this and Indiana Jones... *shakes head*

Hey, it might be good, though.

Not if they overload it with computer-generated special effects as they tend to do nowadays......................

I remember Mr Willis telling us all he wasn't going to do any more action flicks, although that was quite a few years ago now.

Well now he's desperate!!;)

Die Hard is definitely one of the best action movie series.

Parts 1 & 3 are classics, and Part 2 is quite good as well.

So yes, I'm definitely looking forward to seeing the 4th installment. Should be good.
