No. His hair is alwyas changing. But It´s funny when it's long, very funny....

I personally think he's just fed up with being such a hot, sexy, amazing-looking guy, so he lets his hair grow to look like a geek - and he changes his voice at the same time because he's not only fed up with looking good, but also with sounding good - duh :P

Maybe Gwyneth threat him to change so less girl would love him.

It's true. When you have long strands of hair, the weight of them pulls at your vocal chords, straining them and making them sound terrible. Like garbage.
