I mean the old INXS.. the times when Michael Hutchence (rest in peace lovely) was still alive...

 

I have heard them with their new singer.. he has a good voice.. but i cant stand listening to them playing the old songs.. its just not the same... :cry:

 

i am in search of sdome nice Inxs Bootlegs... but its so hard to find anything at all..... maybe i am lucky and someone here has some nice show he likes to share.... i would be so grateful and happy... much appreciation!!

Exactly. INXS should have been allowed to rest in peace, like Queen. You just can't replace iconic lead singers like Freddie and Michael with anyone else.

It will just never be the same.

I'd rather see them using a look/soundalike if anything - this would make more sense. That's why the musicals generally work.

I was lucky enough to see INXS in London at the time of "Suicide Blonde"!! :D

Isn't there a show that starts next week, where they are trying find a new lead singer for the band? Or have they found one already?

I thought they already had - unless the one they found was booed off stage or something! :D

INXS's 'Never Tear Us Apart' voted Australia's all-time favourite lyric

 

Washington, Nov 20(ANI): 'Never Tear Us Apart' by the classic rock band INXS has been voted as Australia's all-time favourite lyric.

 

The song which released in 1988 was voted 'Nation's Favourite Lyric' by viewers of pay TV music channel VH1.

 

The single was released by Australian band on their sixth studio album 'Kick'. The lyrics were written by Michael Hutchence and apparently were the words used to bit farewell to him at his funeral.

 

INXS formed in the late 1970s in Perth and they found international fame in 1988 after the album's release. But like many rock acts from the 1980s, INXS's popularity and record sales had fallen in recent years.

 

Edging out Jeff Buckley's sorrowful ballad 'Last Goodbye' by a mere ten votes, Never Tear Us Apart had proved a sentimental favourite, said Nation's Favourite Lyric host Billy Thorpe.

 

"That song is particularly dear to most Australians so it's no surprise it has come out on top," AAP quoted Thorpe as saying.

 

"It was a wonderful song before Michael's death but those lyrics became particularly sad and poignant after his death since it was the song they played at his funeral.It added a whole new meaning to the song after Michael's death and I think Australians remember him when they hear that song," he added.

 

'You're Beautiful' by James Blunt took the third position ahead of 'Wonderwall' by Oasis in fourth, and Coldplay's 'Yellow' in fifth.

 

Bob Dylan's 'The Times They Are A-Changing' was the oldest entry, from 1964, and Pete Murray's recent hit 'Opportunity' was the most recent.

 

Midnight Oil, U2 and Silverchair were the most nominated bands, each getting three nods. (ANI)

Give me Michael Hutchence anyday, than their new lead singer!! I LOVED INXS when Michael was alive!! INXS were the best thing 2 come out of Australia!!! I have everything they have ever done, including Michaels solo CD(He does a really awesome duet with Bono called Slide Away)!!
