Clocks album version or Clocks Twisted Logic Tour?

Featured Replies

well clocks is my favourite song so i was wondering what everyone thought about the new version that coldplay did on their twisted logic tour?

well...they added drum before song start. And I heard some live. Chris would countdown before end. It was great. Clocks is also my favorite song. And this song let me know Coldplay this band.

I owe it to this song for making me fall in love with Coldplay. Live version all the way...heard it twice last year and no words can describe it...

Its just different hearing it live, in a good way. :)

WIll's not one of those flashy solo everywhere kind of drummers, so it's nice to hear any version of a song where he can go a little crazy!!:D

Clocks is one of my favourites - i saw them at Earls court and thought it sounded a bit weak.

Clocks was terrific at Darien Lake, but I don't think I can make a choice between that and the album version...

clocks twisted logic version was great. it wasn't overwhelmingly better than the album version but both are really great tracks. definitely one of my favs.

Clocks is just that much better Twisted Logic live style. That drum intro and the sometimes countdown is great! And seeing it live with the X&Y signs flashing on those screens in the background tops it off :D

Link to the twisted logic version anyone?

for anyone who hasnt heard the live version and love clocks MAN! you Have to listen to it!

^ true. you must. at the concert a whole bunch of us were jumping to the beat and it just keeping faster and faster. i couldn't go on, even after switching hands to put one in the air, i had to take a break, and they still weren't done. loved it!

^^ HOw good was it when they played it live definately stood out, they should do a studio version! but the talk version is also very good!

seemingly like a couple of people it was indeed clocks which got me into coldplay all those years ago. back when i were a lad who enjoyed listening to the greats such as 'eminem' and '50 cent'. clocks grew on me and i obtained AROBTTH (illegally of course) and originally praised 'daylight' for being "a bit bassy". then, a few weeks down the line i suddenly realised after hearing yet another monotonous rap number that i preferred listening to coldplay more and more, hell, i even started to like the slow piano ballad 'the scientist'.

to bring you (the discerning reader) up to date, i now despise all rap/hiphop/rnb for the disgraceful mysogenistic crap it is, my favourite song is 'amsterdam' and i am myself a travelled singer/songwriter.

so, to sum up, yep i do prefer the tour version of clocks if only for the extended intro and outro and the hi-hat tapping in the previously solo piano part after the bridge.

thankyou all for reading my abridged musical auto-biography. i was very bored :)
