they werent our enemy at the time, and you saying that clinton was a worse president than Bush jr just makes me laugh. So all the shit he has let go and fucked up and all the shit that is GOING to happen (IE Iraq slipping into civil war and allying with Iran) is NOT worse than the job clinton did? wow ok you are now part of the shrinking population of people in the united states who agree with what is going on there.

Bush didnt go after terrorism like you think. Sure he passes some bogus laws and sends a few troops to afghanistan, while he invades a country that had NOTHING TO DO WITH IT, CREATING more 10 times for insurgents (now called terrorists) than he could have ever destroyed. He has hurt us more than clinton ever could.

We actually had a respected nation and were making progress when clinton was in, but now nobody has even a little respect for us. Other countries want nothing to do with Bush but they were willing to talk to Clinton.

Not needed social programs, you sound like a communist. ahhhhh we dont need healthcare or social security!

Didnt do well on the economy? so you call record breaking high surpluses in cash and material "not so good"??? all bush has managed to do was lose our surplus and push us into one of the largest DEFICITS ever. so he went from the Highest to the LOWEST. and thats Clintons fault how??

With all of the stuff that happens HERE in our own country its enough to call bush a bad pres, but the catastrophe in Iraq is MORE than enough to call him one of if not THE worst president ever. Never has any large scale american military operation been so poorly planned out and executed since Vietnam. You would have thought that they would have read the chapter in "Taking over country for dummies" AFTER the part about kicking out the leaders. Like possibly post war reactions?

They were the enemy at the time. Thats the thing. He commited treason to one of our biggest threats. Thats what I call a great president!

hahaha sorry but a communist would be pro social programs.

We had a respected nation because Clinton didnt protect the nation and was Europes Bitch. Respected now days means you dont do anything that helps your nation out.

Clinton put us into a recession. i dont call that doing well with the economy

I never said Iraq was good or Bush was doing a good job, hes just do alot better then Clinton. As for me we need a president in office who is about smaller goverment, less taxes and less spending.

I'm going to agree with Brandon on this one... there's a good reason Bush Sr. stayed the hell out of Iraq..... think about it.

Bush Sr. stayed the hell out of Iraq ??

did he?

Even in 1991?

Of course.

But overall Clinton was a horrible president, we've had 2 bad presidents in a row.(Clinton and Bush Jr)

what happened to all the worthy men of America?

...

oh yeah, that's right- we have none.

He knew what a mess invading Iraq would cause. Smart man

Shame he forgot to tell his son.

i'm with the others on this, Bin Laden was small fry in the 90's and if Clinton hadnt been so busy defending himself with the monica thing he mightve done more.

No, Bin Laden was big in the late 90s, red flags were going up all the time to Clinton. He did nothing. Our intelligence units saw this was a threat yet our goverment looked the other way. ALL the warning signs were there, not to mention like 4 attacks. But im man enough to admit both sides screwed up big time.

late 90s???? Dude.. wake up!!! Oliver North warned about this cat in the 80s!!!!!!! Bottom line... the US govt. underestimates these people.. they think they don't have the smarts to pull off half the things they threaten to do.

I am almost 90% sure that the govt. and the ENTIRE Bush administration knew that 9/11 was going to happen that day. And they did nothing to prevent it. What could they do??? Nothing. They allowed it to happen to give them an excuse to invade a country which just so happens to be of 'vested interest' to them and extort the people of this nation for 'democracy'.

its all bullshit... but please stick to the topic.. the MOVIE!

Im sure Clinton knew about it too.

knew that something would happen... sure. I don't doubt that..... but specifics????? Uh, I think it was still too early while he was in office. And don't forget.. they did bomb the WTC during his presidency..........

did Bush have specifics....... absolutely. And he let it happen....

If only bin Laden had a stained blue dress ...

http://www.JewishWorldReview.com | If you wonder why it took 50 years to get the truth about Joe McCarthy, consider the fanatical campaign of the Clinton acolytes to kill an ABC movie that relies on the 9/11 Commission Report, which whitewashed only 90 percent of Clinton's cowardice and incompetence in the face of terrorism, rather than 100 percent.

Islamic jihadists attacked America year after year throughout the Clinton administration. They did everything but blow up his proverbial "bridge to the 21st century." Every year but one, Clinton found an excuse not to fight back.

The first month Clinton was in office, Islamic terrorists with suspected links to al-Qaida and Saddam Hussein bombed the World Trade Center.

For the first time ever, a terrorist act against America was treated not as a matter of national security, but exclusively as a simple criminal offense. The individual bombers were tried in a criminal court. (The one plotter who got away fled to Iraq, that peaceful haven of kite-flying children until Bush invaded and turned it into a nation of dangerous lunatics.)

In 1995 and 1996, various branches of the Religion of Peace — al-Qaida, Hezbollah and the Iranian "Party of God" — staged car bomb attacks on American servicemen in Saudi Arabia, killing 24 members of our military in all. Each time, the Clinton administration came up with an excuse to do nothing.

Despite the Democrats' current claim that only the capture of Osama bin Laden will magically end terrorism forever, Clinton turned down Sudan's offer to hand us bin Laden in 1996. That year, Mohammed Atta proposed the 9/11 attack to bin Laden.

Clinton refused the handover of bin Laden because — he said in taped remarks on Feb. 15, 2002 — "(bin Laden) had committed no crime against America, so I did not bring him here because we had no basis on which to hold him." Luckily, after 9/11, we can get him on that trespassing charge.

Although Clinton made the criminal justice system the entire U.S. counterterrorism strategy, there was not even an indictment filed after the bombing of either Khobar Towers (1996) or the USS Cole (2000). Indictments were not filed until after Bush/Ashcroft came into office.

Only in 1998 did the Clinton-haters ("normal people") force Clinton into a military response. Solely because of the Monica Lewinsky scandal, Clinton finally lobbed a few bombs in the general direction of Saddam Hussein and Osama bin Laden.

In August 1998, three days after Clinton admitted to the nation that he did in fact have "sex with that woman," he bombed Afghanistan and Sudan, doing about as much damage as another Clinton fusillade did to a blue Gap dress.

The day of Clinton's scheduled impeachment, Dec. 18, 1998, he bombed Iraq. This accomplished two things: (1) It delayed his impeachment for one day, and (2) it got a lot of Democrats on record about the monumental danger of Saddam Hussein and his weapons of mass destruction.

So don't tell me impeachment "distracted" Clinton from his aggressive pursuit of terrorists. He never would have bombed anyone if it weren't for the Clinton-haters.

As soon as Clinton was no longer "distracted" by impeachment, he went right back to doing nothing in response to terrorism. In October 2000, al-Qaida bombed the USS Cole, killing 17 sailors and nearly sinking the ship.

Clinton did nothing. This is only an abbreviated list of Clinton's surrender to Islamic savagery. For a president who supposedly stayed up all night "working" and hated vacations, Clinton sure spent a lot of time sitting around on his butt while America was being attacked.

According to Rich Miniter, author of "Losing Bin Laden," Clinton's top national security advisers made the following classic Democrat excuses for doing nothing in response to the Cole attack:

* Attorney General Janet Reno "thought retaliation might violate international law and was therefore against it."

* CIA Director George Tenet "wanted more definitive proof that bin Laden was behind the attack, although he personally thought he was."

* Secretary of State Madeleine Albright "was concerned about the reaction of world opinion to a retaliation against Muslims and the impact it would have in the final days of the Clinton Middle East peace process." (How did that turn out, by the way? Big success, I take it? Everybody over there all friendly with one another?)

* Secretary of Defense William Cohen "did not consider the Cole attack 'sufficient provocation' for a military retaliation."

Less than a year after Clinton's final capitulation to Islamic terrorists, they staged the largest terrorist attack in history on U.S. soil. The Sept. 11 attack, planning for which began in the '90s, followed eight months of President Bush — but eight years of Bill Clinton.

Clinton's own campaign adviser on Iraq, Laurie Mylroie, says Clinton and his advisers are "most culpable" for the intelligence failure that allowed 9/11 to happen.

Now, after five years of no terrorist attacks in America, Democrats are hoping we'll forget the consequences of the Democrat strategy of doing nothing in response to terrorism and abandon the Bush policies that have kept this nation safe since 9/11. But first, they need to rewrite history.

You know why Bin Laden was left alone?

He was working for the CIA.

AND the WTC Bombing in 1993 was arranged by the FBI. This is true.

Emad Salem secretly recorded hundreds of hours of his talks with law-enforcement agents, portrays the authorities as being in a far better position than previously known to foil the February 26th bombing of New York City's tallest towers.

He thought that it was odd that they were giving him real explosives to give to the group he infiltrated for a Sting Operation so he recorded his instructions on tape which later was used to get him and some others set free.

Salem, a 43-year-old former Egyptian Army officer, was used by the Government to penetrate a circle of Muslim extremists who are now charged in two bombing cases: the World Trade Center attack, and a foiled plot to destroy the United Nations, the Hudson River tunnels, and other New York City landmarks.

After the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, which killed six and injured 1,000; President Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.

Bill Clinton warned America in his radio address that we should not overreact to the 1993 WTC bombing. "I would discourage the American people from overreacting to this," Clinton said.

Bill Clinton treated it as a petty criminal offense even though Bush 41 told him terrorists had declared war on America.

CIA director Woolsey now reveals that he never had a private personal meeting with Clinton during the first two years of his tenure as head of the CIA - exactly the key period in investigating the 1993 attack.

Bill Clinton did not visit the WTC towers.

Bill Clinton did not even make a public appearance on national television.

Bill Clinton tried to stop a reward fund for the capture of terrorists involved in the attack.

From the time President Clinton took office until May of 1995, a Presidential Decision Directive, PDD 39, sat in the National Security Council, in the In Box of one of the officials with no action taken. The significance of PDD 39 is that it was the document defining what the missions and roles were of combating terrorism.

Despite what happened at the World Trade Center in 1993, the Clinton administration did not finally act on [PDD 39] until after the attack in Oklahoma City.

The only reason for that is because in the two weeks prior to Oklahoma City, the front page of both Newsweek and Time Magazine carried the question: 'Is President Clinton Relevant?'

After the 1993 ambush in Somalia, which killed 19 and injured 84; President Clinton just tucked tail and ran away.

On May 4, 1993, Clinton having taken office in January, U.S. Marine Lt. Gen. Robert Johnston handed over control of the relief mission to the UN. "It's all yours," he told the new UN commander, a Turkish general, as he departed with most of his U.S. troops in tow.

Bill Clinton sent U.S. Army Rangers on a highly risky mission to take out Aidid. Aidid militia were not Somali but members of bin Laden's Al Qaeda network, who were deployed in his Mogadishu bases.

Bill Clinton denied the Pentagon a request for armor support.

After botching the whole mission, Clinton pulled out and Bin Laden took notice of that.

Bill Clinton even gave the target of the mission, Aidid, a marine guard after the botched mission to capture him.

After the 1995 bombing in Saudi Arabia, which killed five U.S. military personnel; Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.

After the 1996 Khobar Towers bombing in Saudi Arabia, which killed 19 and injured 200 U.S. military personnel; Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.

Bill Clinton cared so little that his own assistant secretary of state, Dick Holbrooke, had trouble getting him to pay attention to warnings about the impending attack on the Khobar Towers.

After the Khobar Towers bombing in Saudi Arabia in 1996, Clinton had Dick Morris take a poll. "We tested 'peacemaker' or 'toughness,'" York quotes Morris as recalling. The public preferred toughness. "So Clinton talked tough." But the FBI director, Louis Freeh, became so exasperated by Clinton's failure to raise the matter with Saudi officials that he actually asked former President George Bush to do so instead.

After the 1998 bombing of U.S. embassies in Africa, which killed 224 and injured 5,000; Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.

Clinton used American tax dollars to pay for the trucks used in the embassy bombings. (See Below)

The U.S. State Department thwarted an investigation into two suspects in the Aug. 7. 1998, bombing of the U.S. embassies in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania and Nairobi, Kenya, which had killed more than 250 people, including 12 Americans, according to reports from MSNBC news filed on July 29.

Clinton was more concerned with obstructing justice than doing anything about such a grave terrorist attack.

After the 2000 bombing of the USS Cole, which killed 17 and injured 39 U.S. sailors; Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.

Shortly after the bombing of the Cole, Clinton had an opportunity to take Bin Laden out and refused to.

A Pentagon intelligence expert on terrorism in the Persian Gulf has told Congress that he warned of possible terrorist attacks on U.S. forces.

All the investigations lead back to government agents & funding, that's why they don't arrest certain guys and let them go free.

So every islamic terrorist attack is now being paid for by the US government? Thats really makes sense.

my friend (an offline friend) seems to agree with Gareth on a lot of things... I agree with him about 85-90% of the time...

I never heard the one about the FBI being in on the WTC '93 one.. that is news to me... :stunned: but I can't believe the govt. is behind all of the attacks... what kind of a world do we live in!! This makes me even more depressed!! :embarassed:

Obviously there are real terrorists out there but not with the scope to carry out the large, cataclysmic and catalytic attacks we see.

These attacks are state sponsored, they give the governments more power and control. They then can lie to go to war and set polices which take away any remaining power from the people....and they get away with it.....they stand to gain from these attacks.

In 1993 the terror group (most of which thought that they were carrying that attack by themselves) didn't park the Ryder truck packed with high explosives close enough to the major support columns in the basement which meant it didn't blow the bottom away enough to cause the tower to lean to one side and into the other tower.

Lucky for many of the people there that day..........However, very unlucky for those who were there in 2001 when the operation went mostly to plan.

Well is you gullible enough to believe that bullshit, well....i feel sorry for you

Sorry gareth, youve done a good job presenting your case, but the more i hear, the more i think "Hollywood movie plot being made up as you go along"

the whole idea i find to be just too absurd and the stuff of fantasy. And even if you are right, then nothing will really change. And thats really the sad part.
