Jay-Z, Chris Martin for Royal Albert Hall duet

 

 

As previously reported, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin will join Jay-Z and a 25-piece orchestra on stage next week, we can reveal.

 

Martin was revealed as one of the guest vocalists on Jay-Z's forthcoming new album "Kingdom Come", and will join the rap megastar on stage to debut the new track in the UK. Other artists reported to be joining the star during the tour are Lupe Fiasco, British star Kano and Akala, who picked up a Mobo Award for hest hip-hop artist last week.

 

Taking place on September 27, the prestigious concert caps a nationwide tour for the hip-hop star - which kicked off yesterday in Glasgow. Tickets are still available for dates in Birmingham tonight and Dublin on Sep. 26.

you're soo ontop of all the news as it comes out. that performance with Jay-Z and Chris sounds like it will be amazing! can't wait to hear it.

 

On another note, just to do with Chris' collaborations, apparently Justin Timberlake approached him to do a song and he turned him down, saying that he only sang on Coldplay tracks. BUT as we know, Chris has worked with Kanye, Jay-Z, Nelly Furtado and others in the past. all i can say is OUCH.

 

Oh and to do with that track list from AllHipHop Rumours, I don't really know if we can trust Mick Boogie as a source, or Mr. DonMartin. Some of the tracks on there are definitely legit, like "Show Me What You Got", it's going to be the first single.

 

I also think that there will be a Nas collabo on the album, which will be amazing. I don't think that they're doing a "Till Kingdom Come" Remix, that would just be very bizzarre. Jay-Z has alreayd mentioned that "Beach Chair" is the name of the song that he's worked on with Chris and Dr. Dre. Aside from that though, the rest of the track names, and producers, and collaborations are really cool, and I hope that the final tracklist resembles it in some way.

^ Well, as it's a special night at the Royal Albert Hall and the first hip-hop concert ever to be held there, I'm sure tickets were sould out within 10 seconds or something :P And I bet they must be quite expensive, too..

Jay-Z Joined By Beyonce In London

 

 

In what might pale in comparison to Jay-Z’s upcoming Royal Albert Hall show this week, rap superstar Jay-Z brought up Beyonce Knowles for a duet on stage at London’s Wembley Arena last night (24/9).

 

The pair did Beyonce’s biggest solo hit ‘Crazy In Love’, which featured Jay-Z in the original recording, as well as her new hit Déjà vu.

 

Z showed his willingness to let others steal the show, when he also brought out Nas, who performed three of his own hits.

 

Z returns to London later this week to perform at the Royal Albert Hall, which will be the first time a hip hop act has headlined the venue in its 135 year history.

 

At this show, Z will be backed by a 25 piece orchestra and plenty of surprises are promised, including Coldplay front man Chris Martin, who is set to appear on Z’s next album… oh and by the way, he’s not retiring anymore.

I'm also a bit worried, but well if they are die hard coldplay fans they will support Chris :) I'll support him !

Well Chris may do a song or so with him :) But he may NOT quit with Coldplay.. And he may not make rap music or so with coldplay :)

I'm positive that Chris won't be booed or heckled while on stage. Jay-Z fans are a diverse group of people who listen to a variety of different music genres and artists. They may not be Coldplay fans per se, but I'm sure that they will be very open and excited to hear the unique collaboration between the two.
