A new law has been passed that homosexuality is to be tought as a normal alternate lifestyle in schools and no one is allowed to slander gays and a church that preaches against gays is subject to lawsuit by the ACLU. They will also do no construction or repair for them.

 

People, this is wrong! This law is a DIRECT violation of the free speech amendment. What is in Congress's head? They can't pass this law. We can say and preach what we SEE FIT! That's the freedom of being in this country!

 

I'm sorry if anyone in this forum is gay and is offended by my statement but I for one am NOT going to pull a Liberal and not be so scared of people's opinion and not stand what I kno to be morally right.

People of coldplaying.com, please write to Washington or Congress or whatever you see fit and tell them the illegality of this law. Put yourselves in the Christian's place and see how unjust this is.

Yes, the Constitution does give rights to everyone but in the Declaration of Independance, it says that all men are CREATED EQUAL! No special rights should be given to any one group unless you are prepared to give other people special rights. I wish Christians would stop being taken in the minority! Oh sure gays will whine and say "We are normal and should be treated as equals" but when it comes to us Christians, when we make the same plea, Congress doesn't give a crap!

i can name multiple POLITICAL laws that have been passed that atcually have some consequences that are ALOT closer to communism than this!

In general they are treated like everyone else - so why do they need special laws? Why do we need to be taught about the gay lifestyle?

 

No one here is anti gay - the point is a laws been made that says you cant say bad things about a certain group of people - which isnt what freedom of speech is about.

Being Gay is natural thou - the romans, the greeks etc. Whats changed is peoples perceptions of gay people, not gay people themselves.

It should not be illegal to slander anyone, it should not be taught in schools. We shouldnt teach religion in public school's nor should we teach other views like that. If they are going to teach it is ok, they should teach religion. They should present it as a decision to the kids, not as a fact.

Yeah everyones right? what about religious rights to preach agaisnt what they view as immoral? Gays and straight deserve the same rights, not one get more then the other.

 

It shouldnt be taught as a life style because its opinion, religion shouldnt either. Life styles should not be taught in public school. Teach kids the facts not views on what is ok or moral. NOTE im not taking sides in this, i hold this true for everything, even my own religion should not be taught.

The Greeks and Romans were what you would call today "bisexual" they had sex with almost everyone! For Greeks and Macedonians it was normal for a young boy to have his first sexual encounters with another boy and to keep to the boys until their late teens when they began being more attracted to girls. The Romans were another story, while legionaire's were on campaign it was not uncommon to become part of an all male orgy during dinner parties!

 

What he says about perception of gays is absolutely correct. Same with the eastern block countries. Have you noticed most of the gay pornography comes out of europe? thats because after the fall of the Soviet Union, males over there were much more open to gay sex than western males were, and they were perfectly heterosexual males.

 

And being gay is not a choice, no person would CHOOSE to degrade themselves. It has been proven that there is a difference in the way gay peoples brains operate.

 

 

A good example is the movie Alexander (this movie was not very popular because Alexander WAS depicted as gay) For Macedonians most young boys would be gay with each other until around 18 when they would take wives and stop doing that, but what was different about Alexander was that his attraction never went away. He didnt choose that. It just stayed. (His homosexuality is a proven fact and i speak of real acounts) it is no different today.

 

But just because you are Christian does not mean that you should try and convince people that it is wrong to be gay just because your god says it is.

So true, I agree. The government needs to stay out of this type of subject. Religion,race,or sexual preference. I dont agree with homosexuality but they have a right to chose what they believe is moral and bashing them for being different is wrong, now a church saying its a sin is not wrong, but making fun of or bashing is.

 

On another note, i think Gay marriage will be legal in America within 25 years.

i have no problem with religion being taught in schools, as long as you reserve the right to CHOOSE to take the class or not. i also believe that if they want to teach religion, they should teach the HISTORY of religion, for alot of the answers to MOST of the worlds conflicts lie within the history of religion.

Just because it is natural does not mean it is right, but as a person who thinks everyone should have equal rights gay people should be allowed to get married. But dont bash someone for saying his views. People who bash people for being christian are no better then those who bash gay people for being different.

Good point, it should be a choice. Religion is only an excuse man uses to justify what they do, it would still happen without religion, just would be justified by some other reason.

Now if you mean by the public school system then I agree. I have had religious beliefs forced and shoved down my throat my whole life and its not healthy for anyone.

im deffinately talking about in school systems and in my community at least, i dont know about other communities, but it seems as though religion rules peoples lives around here! and if you dont believe in what they do, you are wrong! :confused:
