I have the same problem. There's this genre very popular among hispanics called reggaeton(Its like a crapier version of hip hop' date=' however, it has no imagination and extremely vulgar lyrics:sick:) and it has recently escalated to becoming the music that most listen to around here. Its seriously sick how people can start to stereotype us with that disgusting music. I've had conversations with people that can assure me of the quality of it, and even putting it on the balance next to the Beatles or the Stones:stunned:[/quote']

 

the things are on similar level here, too. There's a genre called turbofolk (a mixture of national (folk) genre and kinda rave with hidden vulgar lyrics - like "lick lick lick a lollipop...") and its popularity has grown in last two or three years. And this genre isn't good at all... it's no real music, it only serves for hopping and jumping on their concerts. and believe me, it's horrible when you hear a five-year-old singing a turbofolk song.:thinking: :sick:

My friends are so embarrassing sometimes.

We're the odd group in our school and well, they're not making it very easy.

And my friends are always saying how much Coldplay sucks.

And one of my friends is bad luck!

We were in the hallway and the bell rang and one of my friends asks where two of my other friends were (male and female). The bad luck friend goes "Somewhere fucking each other!" and my French teacher was right behind her!!!! and I had a test right then and I did TERRIBLE!

My friends have a lot of drama also. And they're all boy-crazy.

 

 

Oh, I got an A on that test :embarassed:. So I guess I owe her an apology. But my friends really pissed me off this week. I was trying to explain it to a really good friend (who never pisses me off) about how I give give give, and they take take and NEVER say thank you and when I need something they won't help, but I don't think she got it. My friends...God I love them but they can be so....AHHHH! at times. Like one of my friends, her priorities totally flipped when we reached 10th grade. AND She grinds with ONE boy in her entire life (do you guys know what grinding is? Just google it.) and she turns all boy crazy! And now she thinks I'm such a prude because I've never grinded with any boy, ever. We're both on the JV field hockey team and she skipped one of our games to watch a boy's soccer game! Then today, it was our last game of the season and 20 minutes before we go on I ask: "Are you playing?" and she goes :"I don't know.."

"YOU DON'T KNOW!?!"

"YES, I DON'T KNOW!"

AH! All of my friends are mean to two of my friends too. Like, one of my friends puposely spills drink on one of my closer friends every time she wears this certain skirt because they don't like it. This makes me a little worried because I'm getting a CP shirt soon and they don't like them. And another friend flirts with our guy friend when she KNOWS that my other friend likes him. And they're all anoying and backstabbing and what not. And today, God, they tell me to make this WE'LL MISS YOU sign for the foreign exchange student who left today to put on her locker. So, as always, I do it for them, and they tell me that I did it all wrong and so I do it again. They didn't say thank you, but they said it was ugly. Well, for all I care, they could have fucking did it themselves. I swear to God, I'm am SO tired of giving my friends everything, I swear I even give people part of my SOUL sometimes, and I get nothing in return. I try to say no but they give me the old puppy dog eyes or the cold shoulder. Sometimes I get so fucking fed up with them. God.

Well, this isn't all the time. They're nice to me, but mean to each other, if that makes sense. :thinking: And when I say I'm give my soul, I meant to EVERYONE, not just my friends, I'm a people pleaser. Everyone has faults, and I didn't tell you all the nice things they do, even though their faults outweigh all their...niceness...

 

OH you make me feel so guilty! My friends have a lot of good qualities it's just that they rub me the wrong way, a lot.

They weren't always like this :confused: . This all started when this certain "friend" came along. They all worship him. All the mean stuff they do is to please him. Uck. But it's not all his fault, I guess, I don't know. I'm confusing myself.

i think i know what you are talking about ... i have lost many friends that way. but i have billions of friends so it's ok if i lose a couple that are not very close... i don't always need to be friends with them. but if you don't have many friends at least try to find some nice ones

yeah, I have, like, 10 friends at my school (my VERY best friend goes to a different school- she's not like them) and about 3/10 of them are just mean to everyone, or boy crazy or whatever. And when we all get together I feel left out because I'm not a mean person or boy-crazy. But I'm repeating myself. I have distanced myself from these 3 friends though.

thats nice. i came to coldplaying cause i was bored... but other coldplay fans are really the people id rather be friends with.. all cp fans are awesome people! you can never go wrong with becoming a friend w/ another coldplay fan- smart, attractive, likable, kind, not-shallow, etc etc

if i'd start to generalise bad music then Backstreet Boys would be in the same category with bands like Muse or Razorlight. they are not better in anything than BSB or Britney Spears, in my opinion

 

you have no point. just because you feel you dislike it, it doesn't make that music bad, either makes music good if you like it. you may like it, someone else may not. for you this is good music, for someone else that is good music.

Yea, i have thought about this before, none of my friends listeni to the music i do, or in the way i do. They either are not really interested in music, passionater like i am, or they just don't like my taste, prefering to go for the obvious mainstream choices, which is nothing wrong with that it's just not what i enjoy most of the time. But one friend of mine, has started to listen to a couple radiohead tracks, so thankgod one friend has started to see the light haha.Eh well, can't expect everyone to like the same stuff i guess...as is life
