Religious leader linked to Bush 'paid for sex with male body-builder'

Haha, this story made me laugh when I heard about it.

He pushes for a ban on gay marriage but is having fun with men and rent boys himself....you've got to chuckle.....full of fake 'Christians' is the US......I suppose it's only natural though, given that the president of the United States of America fits into the same category. Although I don't actually think G.W Bush is gay.......

What a frightening thought though.....imagine him coming on to you in a bar....yikes!

Exactly. Unbelievable hypocrisy.;)

The drugs alone are enough for him to have to quit in disgrace. It's totally inappropriate behaviour for somebody in his position.

The way you're going on, anyone would think he's your dad.;)

I just dont like narrow minded people who hold one thing like drugs and use it as a reason to believe he'd do other things. Its like one person does one sin he's guilty of them all just because he did one. Its stupid. So he used drugs, that is immaterial to being gay or having gay sex.

Ahh so stupid, you judge without any facts, evidence or knowledge. You're hatred for christians makes you believe the worst, truly sad.

Hey did you have fun the last time we had sex? see i guess if we are using your reasoning no MATTER if you deny it, its true;) :stunned:

I guess anyone one who accuses anybody isnt lying, the accuser is always true eh? you're sick

^I'm now even more sure you're related to him in some way!

what you all say is relevant, but who cares anyway... its more unfortunate that people base their judgements on such things as this. its really really sad.

No - what's really sad is people who keep preaching about moral issues (whether it's drugs, family values or certain sexual behaviour) and then fail to practice what they preach.

The worst offenders always appear to be politicians and powerful religious figures.;)

im so glad you're nota judge, your evidence to prove guilt would be on parties hear say and you would not look for any evidence or facts. You see guilt on hear say, you may have a personal opinion, like you think it happened, BUT you are operating under the assumption the hear say is true, that is stupid. So its one thing for you to think he is guilty, another to assume he is based on hear say\

You're acting like its a 100% proven fact this happened, so its ok for your personal opinion to be that you think it happened, but to think its a fact without evidence is dumb.

You're not a "i think he's guilty, or believe he is" you're a "i know for a fact he is" and whats worse of all you base this on hear-say gossip, not any hard evidence or facts.

It's a FACT he took illegal drugs.

It's a FACT he has been trying to tell others how to live their lives.

Therefore it's a FACT he's a hypocrite and doesn't deserve to be in the position he's in.;)

i suppose that is true. personally i reckon its sad anyone should tell others how to live their lives. marx once said religion is the opium of the masses. at times i think its true.

I'm not religious and I hate fake Christians, yes.

You sink to a new level of pittyfull denial and absolutely embarrassing stupidity. Even the way you've set about addressing what I said is purely ridiculous.

those to facts are immaterial to him being gay or having sex. He may be a hypocrite for the drug part, im not denying that, but as far as gay sex its not a fact, it may be a opinion of yours that its true, but you treat it as fact.

Yeah waiting for facts and evidence instead of gossip, man im stupid:rolleyes:

We should never judge those on any facts or evidence, just on what someone says about them! you're a moron.

Ever heard the saying "Fuck the Police" well im with you on this one "Fuck the facts!" who needs them when we have hear say from a very shady source! man you're wise.

Ps i dont like fake christians either, but just because you sin does not mean you arent, if that were true there'd be no christians. However he did teach about a lifestyle then lie to everyone and use drugs so he deserves to be shamed, just not with non proven hear say about being gay.

Now if we do find out its true, because anything is possible then we can be more mad, but like usual you jump the guns without facts of evidence just hear-say from a shady source.

What you've written has so much wrong with it.

Listen....you always go on about lack of evidence, ALL the time, even in cases where I show evidence of something.

Your super-loopy.

Good-day.

Actually, it's the newspaper (and the radio show) that's treating it as fact. However, the part about the drugs has been confirmed, so it wouldn't surprise me in the least if the rest were true, too.;)

Not proven as yet, no - but watch this space!

You guys are out of your mind :P

No, but it sounds like the subject of this thread might have been on more than one occasion!!

Listen its possible its true, its possible its not. You and Gareth and the media are convicting guilt based on hear say and NO facts or evidence. All im saying is before you close your mind, wait for something other then hear-say and some evidence or facts.

Dont have a narrowmind and close it before any evidence or facts come out. So im not saying he's innocent, but im not saying he's guilty either. But you've convicted him without anything but hear-say.

Oks now we know for a fact he is guilty of doing it. i just read he confessed. see now we have hard evidence proving it, not hear say

US pastor admits sex 'immorality'

_42271978_haggard_ap203bo.jpg Mr Haggard denies having sex with a gay prostitute

Disgraced former US evangelist leader Reverend Ted Haggard has confessed to his followers that he was guilty of "sexual immorality". "I am a deceiver and a liar," Mr Haggard said in a letter - a day after his New Life Church fired him for what it called "sexually immoral conduct".

A vocal opponent of gay marriage, he earlier admitted buying drugs and having a massage from a gay masseur.

But he denied using the methamphetamine or having sex with the man.

"I am so sorry for the circumstances that have caused shame and embarrassment for all of you," Mr Haggard said in the letter that was read out to New Life Church followers in Colorado Springs.

"There is a part of my life that is so repulsive and dark and I've been warring against it my entire adult life," the letter said.

'Pastor Ted'

The row erupted last week, after Mike Jones told a Colorado radio station that he had been paid to have sex with Mr Haggard nearly every month over the past three years.

Mr Haggard denied the claims but said he did receive a massage after being referred to Mr Jones by a Denver hotel.

Mr Haggard, 50, who on Thursday stepped down as the head of the 30m-strong National Association of Evangelicals, also admitted that he bought methamphetamine but "never used it".

The issue is being played out against the backdrop of a vote in Colorado and seven other US states on Tuesday on whether to ban same-sex marriages.

Mr Haggard, who is also known as "Pastor Ted" and has five children, has close contacts with the White House.
