we can have separate threads, i guess, for every reviewed album

Hay that's a nice idea! I mean, people review the albums they think are worhtful and then we can see who's tastes are similar... That's good. I think you're kinda obsessed with ratings though :P

I am gonna write my first review when I get home from school this afternoon, I'll do Tuesday if you're already done Nik.

You can have the Monday slot, you should set a nice standard to follow :wink2: I don't think we should be too strict with time, just post anytime on Monday. (I don't think it is even Monday over there yet.)

 

Check the first post for the timetable. We need someone for Wednesday. So, no rules this week, just review anything.

to read some detailed reviews on new/classic albums etc would be useful in deciding whether or not i'll purchase an album, and ultimately like the music.

 

questions-

 

when will the reviews be made? (different days by different people and if so, is there a running schedule)

 

and how? as in a brief opening about their level of background on the music (are they new listeners to the artist or frequent listeners) then the review with an overall rating. myself, i'd add recommendations (if i knew any) of similar music/artists to expand the usefuless of the review.

Ermm... I'm not sure if it wasn't mentioned before but I've read Nik's review and I want to listen to the album but I have no idea where to get it... I mean, can't we also add links in threads?... Because if you make a review you probably have a link anyway... Or didn't I get something? :uneasy:

IT would be way to hard to try and rovide links for every review. I say we don't need the extra ratings and comments from other people. Sites like pitchfork and all them have multiple reviewers and sometimes controversial ratings. This can just be a cool little thing. No big deal or anything. Like there may be heaps of people listening to Jarvis Cocker's solo album in the futture and look back at a very early opinion of the album.

Maybe we should have one sticky with links to all the different reviews. An archive, if you will.

Yeah.....I think that's a good idea if it's possible......you'll always have each review in one thread.....I mean with the links,.....and then you can find them.....would be a good opportunity for people who want to check out new music.....they could see "ah this link is for review X or Y".....
